Just started the mash on Kate The Great. Hope to be cleaning up in time for the Bowl Games. Anyone else brewing today?

Tomorrow. I'm organizing the brewery today and keg priming a bunch of beers I had sitting in fermenters. Will be brewing 10G of Saison. Split fermentation with Yeast Bay's Saison/Brett blend and a house sour blend of 3F/Cantillon/Allagash.

Just started my very first beer ever, a coopers real ale kit with light malt extract only.
Very basic for most here, but I really want to first get the basics right.

During the bowl games, I'm brewing a saison with NC grains, SC hops and local wild yeast from SouthYeast in Clemson, SC...gonna add some peaches to the primary at some point as well. I've thought about brewing either an El Dorado, Equinox or Caliente single hop IPA if my brew day starts early enough. Brewed an Azacca single hop IPA yesterday.

It's going to be a pine bomb whenever it is. These sweet fruity hops have had their run of the place for too long

A dry hopped APA probably this weekend. I want to have it next to my brett APA to see the difference the yeast produces.

Got my NB Dead Ringer done with no hiccups on 12/31. Nice, smooth process flow and it will be my first brew in my new conical and temp controlled SS Brewtech setup. Just need to finish this bathroom in 2015.

I am going to try to extend my brewing season, and take advantage of quick chilling temperatures outside by getting a 5 gallon batch in today.

Re-brewing Younger's #3 from 1868, with many thanks to patto1ro for digging up the recipe for his blog.

Racked a sour wort Berliner into a true secondary with local Muscadine and Scuppernong grapes and a pitch of Orval starter. Hoping to have something fruited, sour and funky ready by spring.

Saturday will be a makeup brew day. Wife and son got sick, so Tuesdays plan to brew a double decoction Hefe was a bust. Hope Saturday goes better!

No brewing this weekend. First batch of 2015 will likely be on MLK day. Today I did rack my latest Am. Pale Ale into a keg. I'm now in the process of transferring a cold-crashed Koelsch from one keg to another. Will add gelatin to the second keg to clear the remaining yeast.

    Happy New Year, Y'all!

The first beer I ever brewed was a Coopers can kit back in 1989. Hope yours turns out good.
Go easy on the priming sugar, I would use less than the kits suggest.

Single mash, single boil Pils & Vienna, split ferment. 1/2 on homemade Belgian Dark Candi Syrup and Fantome's house strain (WY3725), and 1/2 on demera and reculture of my BOS Lambic dregs. Belgian Dubbel & Belgian Blonde.

Kegged my IPA and Brett IPA.

Installed a drain for my brew sink so now I don't have to dump a bucket a million times.

    GO DUCKS!

No brewing, but I'm going to try to etch gallon markers into one or both of my brew kettles before my vacation runs out. Just did the same for a glass carboy today - the numbers didn't turn out very pretty, but the lines themselves look good and should be a big help in the future.
