Check out anchorage- they use Brett in all their beers without much souring (I'm guessing no or minimal bacteria). They have more reasonable distribution compared to other breweries doing sour/wild/funky beers.

For the record, Anchorage does not use Brett in all their beers. A Deal with the Devil, Time Waits for No One, and Darkest Hour do not use it.

From my experience Orval gets really funky starting at 2 years old.

E.S. Bam or Lost Abbey Red Barn are a good start.

Orval all day. Also boulevard saison Brett, which you can currently find on shelves with about six months of age on it.

I was gonna suggest some of the Wicked Weed beers, they do a lot with Brett.

I'm not so well into this style as many others are, but I've seen the Jolly Pumpkin line-up described as 'funky' more than any other descriptor. You may want to give some of their beers a try.

    Try the Kelso Brett Saison.

    Vinous and funky. Good stuff.

Or if you're in the NYC area - try the Other Half/EvilTwin Beat it Nerd Brett IPA.

Fantôme was the first thing that came to mind for me as well. Though I wouldn't say any of their stuff is too commonly available.

Aardwolf's Guava & Passionfruit Berliner Weisse uses Brett Trois on top of Lacto. That strain gives the beer a very stinky cheese, funky sock kind of aroma. the taste is a very fruit forward funky beer through.. maybe if you make your way to Jacksonville, you should try it.

OP, you could also check out the Saison style if you want funk without the sour.

Almost all of their bottled beer is brett.. infact, I think ALL of it has brett, but majority of it was barrel aged, and will have more than brett.
