Pretty amazing that there are New Glarus beers in Germany (Berlin) since they only distribute in Wisconsin in the States.

    Cheers!

Yee-ah? Something tells me the New Glarus was pirated.

From the FAQs on their web site:
Q: WHERE CAN I GET YOUR BEER AT?

A:Wisconsin! Sorry about the limited distribution, non-Wisconsinites. There are only so many hours in the day to make beer and we can only keep up with the local demand. However, we would love it if you would stop by our little gift shop and pick some up.

I absolutely agree to the sentiments of both A) truly appreciating the craft in close proximity to you and B) taking the Top 250 list with "a grain of salt"- many great beers there no doubt, but there is so much more quality beer out there that never gets a whiff of that list- focus on styles you'd prefer and you'll likely find a comparable to something on that list.

Also to the OP (and everyone else in Deutschland commenting to this post), I travel fairly often to Germany for work, and have long held interest in setting up some exchanges where I can bring along a variety of things from Philadelphia's distribution footprint. Should anyone ever be interested, shoot me a BM

I split time between Karlsruhe and Montabaur, and have a friend living in Berlin whom I've yet to have the chance to visit

Cool, I live in Wiesbaden, so more or less en route between Karlsruhe and Montabaur. Let me know if you want to do a little trade the next time you're in Germany.
