I don't give a flying rats asshole whe it comes out, but I cannot wait to send a bottle to my regulars. I've been talking about how amazing jwb is for so long I can't wait for the, to actually try dfpf.

I bought in and am fine, excited is a better way to put it. Not upset at all, as mentioned countless times breweries always take longer then expected to get up and running. 2015 will be great for those that bought in, Wakefield will be making good on everything. It's weird to see folks that are not backers complaining, and out of the 300 OGs a mere handful have expressed frustration, the overwhelming majority are content and looking forward to the next year.

They posted on Instagram that the tasting room might be ready for soft opening late next week.

I'm not really complaining, just asking questions about it. This thread has been an interesting read.

Which other reserve society would you compare this one to though?

Well you did state that you wondered if anyone is getting their beer or has their "$300 been flushed down the toilet". This seems a bit accusatory to say the least and a bit different then "just asking questions". But asking questions and discourse is good. To answer your question, I don't have a ton of experience with a lot of other reserve societies, but I would say that this is a bit differnt in that it was a crowd sourced funding project to help get his brewery started. My .02 (well really $300).

I'm miles away and can't enjoy the stuff at the brewery, but I don't consider my $300 investment a waste. I'll still get my beer. It's just taking much longer than anyone expected. All he really has to do is release his kick-ass dragon fruit berliner and another home run and no one will even remember the delay.

Plus, if JW does what he intimated (giving out more than the alotted 6 bottles for the patience of all the $300 members), the dude will be a hero.

    meh... ok sarcasm...

anyway, I'll let this die then seeing as the people that actually put out $$ are ok with the wait.

This just came out today so I will excuse you for not having faith:

    Happy New Years OG's

It is 2015 and things are rolling. We are in the full swing of brewing and should be hitting distribution next week. With our IPA, Porter, Hefeweizen, and Berliner. Also the tasting room is set to soft open next week. I will give you another email mid week to let you know our hours and what we will have on draft for those that have any interest in stopping by. Once we have worked the tasting room kinks out our regular hours in the tasting room will be Tuesday through Saturday 12pm-12am.

Now down to the OG beers. This coming week is fully loaded with beers that will be soley dedicated to the OG society. We will be brewing 3 big beers this week that will be stuffed into barrels. The following week DFPF will be brewed. Obviously DFPF will be ready sooner than the other 3, and we are hoping to have it in package for you guys for the grand opening party. The Grand Opening party is being worked on as well, we are hoping to host it either the 2nd or 3rd week of February. We are trying to coordinate with some other breweries to have enough great beers on draft to make it worth while event for everyone. The Donor/OG party will be held in June which will give us enough time to have more beers ready and brew the Donor Party Beer.

I am also going over things with my staff to see how we could make this membership more worth your while. Such as growler fills of our treatment beers, collaboration beers, etc only for you guys, maybe even discounts on draft beers. Once I have firm details on these things I will let you guys know.

We do hope everyone has a great start to 2015 and we hope to see you guys very soon here at the brewery.

    Cheers,

    Johnathan Wakefield

Last year he sent a notice to everyone to send in the address they'd like their shirts and glasses sent to. I was able to pick mine up at a Sud Swap event he was pouring at.

If you read these posts Mr. Wakefield, I wouldn't mind seeing 16 oz OG growlers fillable with whatever's on tap like the El Catador growlers. I love that perk and wish I lived closer to CCB so I can take advantage of it.

Natalie Wakefield mailed me my t-shirt for my OG membership and I live in Canada. Five years now and running in RS/HS and I still can't get The Bruery to accept a Canadian VISA card for my HS-Society purchases. Just saying...

I received the shirt, but never got the glassware. Didn't see any really posting about it and kind of figured it would be sent later. I'll email the. Since your confirming they exist at least. Cheers.

If you haven't done so already, I suggest for you to find a trustee. The glasses can be picked in person at the brewery. The OG tekus will not be shipped out. There are no replacements for the OG glass if they break in transit.

I have one lined up, but the last communication from J Wakefield was they were shipping them out, when did it change?

Awesome. If/when you OG guys get another update this week, please post it on here. I'm headed down that way on Thursday, and would love to be able to drop in to JWB if they are open.

JWB has been very accommodating regarding folks stopping by. Even though they are shooting for a soft open next week if you shoot them an email ahead of time with the date/time you will be down there this week I'm sure they would show you around.

Man, I honestly can't remember where I saw it. Info has been sent via Facebook, here and Instagram, so it's all blurred.
