Per their Facebook page NC should soon see Snozzberry, Maceo and a new sour called Bootsy. Can't wait to try the new Bootsy and get my grubby lil hands on some Snozz.

Ill be sure to grab a nice handful this year @outsidah if you'd like a few bottles. Saw Snozz on the shelf last year and never bit, stupid of me. Pumped for rerelease.

Best sour program in the state!!

While I do think Snozzberry is the best sour ever produced in the state, I would hardly say their sour "program" is the best, when they've only ever produced 2 different beers, the most recent of which came out over a year ago.

Theve had 4-5 released, funk 49, maceo, szozz and 1-2 berliner weisses with bootsy on the way. I dont personally consider berliners as sours but the green man berliners were pretty tart. As for funk 49, maceo and snozz, they were all pucker your face sours. The closest wicked weed bottle that has gotten to that level was the oblivion and it still was tame in comparison. Sure there have been a one off here and there, obx does a couple decent and haw river will be making some serious sours but every single sour green man has released has been legit. What a sour should be

Fair enough. I wasn't really counting the berliners and I honestly had never heard of Funk 49, when was that released?

Although I don't necessarily consider a sour to be good just because it's puckeringly sour. Sometimes if it's too sour it can lose a lot of complexity. I've not opened my bottle of Maceo yet, but I've heard from some that it is overly sour.

Yeah, funk 49 was their first, realeased 3-4 years ago and it was was very sour. Gm sours remind me of big lacto bombs (bruery, cascade, rr,) which is what i prefer. I enjoy the many offerings from ww but find most of their sours to be mild and juicy/fruity......delicious, not sour.

Does anyone know what style or fruit Bootsy is supposed to be or use?

I'll take that bottle of Maceo off your hands for you.
This year's Maceo was better than this year's snozz, IMO. Both are delicious, however. I will be buying them in quantity this year, assuming they aren't gone in an instant...

Ha oh I'm gonna drink it and find out first hand . It just took me a while to track one down and it looks great sitting in the cellar next to the Snozz, so I want to look at it for a little while longer lol.

Mainly brewery only. You will see some in Asheville bottle shops like Bruisn and AppVintner

Now, I haven't had a greenman sour yet, but I will say, they have quite a journey to reach Natty Green's Sours or the consistency of a Wicked Weed Sour. I will look for this and give comment soon. I know last week when I was in Greenman they didn't have it out. Will try again soon.

The last time they were released, they were distributed around the state. Or at the very least they made it here to the Triangle (albeit in pretty limited quantities). They sat on shelves for a couple days until people realized how good they were, and then suddenly they were all gone.

Now that's no guaranty that they'll be distributed this time, but last time they were.

Yep they hit limited distribution last year as they self distributed. This year they have distribution and I would expect more coverage in NC.

Considering that you can walk/stumble from Green Man, Burial, Wicked Weed, and Wicked Weed Funkatorium, plus a couple of other breweries that are good-not-great? Yeah, I'd call it worth a stop
