Its the price the UK pays for not having nearly enough hardcore beer geeks.

Actually, I should really 'dislike' this - the UK needs all the imperial stout we can get!

    My bad. :slight_frown:

I meant Young's. I have Fuller's on my mind because I don't get ANY of their beers in town yet I can buy Lancaster Blonde and Oxfordshire Pride of Oxford.

I've moved on to a St. Feuillien Saison. Subtle but rather drinkable....

    You son of a bitch.

I've guzzled the majority of a Bristol Beer Factory milk stout opened ninety seconds ago, and next will be a Tilquin gueuze. The milk stout flavour profile was nice but the mouthfeel far too thin. Alas.

Speedway was quality. Opened it on KO at 19.45, finished it at 22.00 ! Really savoured it all the way through from chilled to room temp. Might be £££ as beer goes but 2 + hours of pleasure it was worth every $$$ !

When I bought my few bottles it was $13, which isn't bad given how outrageous pricing has become for beer-nerd beers.
And I've no idea how you made it last two hours, though if you were watching the same game I was you were likely distracted by the noise of swear words leaving your mouth.

How much jewellery did you have to pawn to buy it?

    Heh - it wasn't that bad
Think I paid just over £4 for it - I've certainly paid more for other beers.....
And it's quite tasty - bonus!

Well that's good. I do enjoy a few Mikkeller beers--USAlive, George!--but the number of underwhelming hop-driven beers I've had from them (him), particularly those in the single-hop series, have put me off buying something like 19.
Beers of Europe has a bunch of the nuttier Mikkeller beers at the moment, including a tequila barrel-aged IPA.

I've heard varying reports on the quality of Mikkeller beers, although the few that I've tried so far have been pretty good. I thought Beer Geek Breakfast was superb. I've balked at the prices for some of them though (would love to try I Beat U, but I'm not paying £5.25 for it).

Who's asking for £5.25? That was on BOE for £3.99.
Beer Geek Breakfast and Beer Geek Brunch can both be excellent, but yeah, they suffer from extreme inconsistency issues.

That would be the price at my local beer shop - Trembling Madness. They have a good range, but some of the prices can be quite steep (depends on the beer). Although I suppose even if I'd used BOE, the shipping would have to be factored in....

Yes, I was underwhelmed by both of them. Well, they didn't live up to the hype for me.

Yup, which is why I only order once every two months and then ensure I get value from my shipping.
