Here are the rules:

1 - pick the winners and point differentials in each of the four games (ie Ravens by 7, Seahawks by 3, Cowboys by 14, Colts by 10)
2 - you MUST pick at least one upset (the four home teams are all favored)

The winner will be determined by:

1 - the number of winners picked correctly, if there is a tie we will move on to
2 - the lowest combined "distance" from the right answers ONLY FOR THOSE GAMES THEY PICKED CORRECTLY (so if the Ravens win by 6, the Seahawks lose, the Cowboys lose, and the Colts win by 3 the total would be 1 (Ravens distance) plus 7 (Colts distance) for a total of 8.) If that confuses anyone then then hopefully "the sum of the absolute value of the discrepancies between the BA's predicted point differential and the actual point differential for those games with a correctly chosen winner" hopefully clairifies things Please note that different finalists may end up having their final score based on different games (since being tied for number correct does not require picking the exact same games correctly)

Entries will be accepted until 4:30 PM East Coast time on Saturday, January 10th. Winners will be announced Monday, January 12th unless I feel really ambitious and decide to do it Sunday night. Shipping might not be for a few weeks, depending on the aforementioned conditions.

If I'm not mistaken, doesn't your scoring encourage getting exactly 1 right answer and being very close to the right differential? Maybe add to the score double the 'distance' for games that were picked incorrectly? Do it however you like, just my $0.02

nope, differential is just the tie breaker. So, you would be going against someone(s) with the same amount of wins.

So, every year I attend a 4 day gaming convention in National Harbor, MD called Magfest. This year, it runs from the 23rd through the 26th. Last year, a friend hosted the first "Beermani legends" (title being a play on words on some inside joke kinda stuff), and this year I'm hosting the second annual in my suite, as he decided not to book a suite this year. It is by no means a whalez share, though a few really good things are showing up (CBS, KBS, BCBS, BCBCS), the rest pretty much being reasonable quality shelf beers and locals. It's basically an excuse for some of us to get together for a short period of time and share a few beers.

THE QUESTIONS

So, in order to win, you must answer the following three questions.

1) How many people will be in attendance?
2) How many beers will be opened? (If multiples of a beer are opened, it gets counted multiple times)
3) How many states will be represented, beerwise?

The winner will be the person with the lowest combined "distance" from the right answers (so if someone guesses 20, 50, 15, and the correct answers are 18, 30, 10, that person would have a score of 27).

Entries will be accepted until 11:59pm on January 21st. Winner will be announced sometime the week following (though probably that tuesday or wednesday, possibly monday). If a tiebreaker becomes necessary, I'll determine that when it happens.

A few hints

Hint #1: 19 people were invited
Hint #2: The share is only expected to last 2-3 hours. Last year's share lasted about that long. I don't have a bottle count from last year
Hint #3: At a quick glance, the people invited come from (I believe) 8 states, and one coming from Asia (originally from the states, but living there now)

Hard to say, many boxes arriving to me aren't handled with love. Ive had a few boxes break on their way to me, but this the 1st bottle Ive had broken going out. At least it was an extra and not a main bottle. Was there another extra bottle @Louis121 or just the mop water?

Minus the broken bottle there was 3 bottles and 3 cans in the box (plus a glass and toffee). The package set on my door step for only 30 minutes before I got to it, but I don't believe it was the cold. Could have been a combination of the cold and rough handling. With that said, I have no complaints.
