Oh well as long as I borrowed without the intent of returning I'm fine with that. Stealing on the other hand is despicable!

    <sigh>
I hear the ABV went down and color is different. I'm very skeptical. I absolutely loved it last year. Could not see how it doesn't rival Heady Topper, Pliny the Elder, etc. as far as quality since the taste is unique on to it's own.

Humans have the propensity to want to fix what isn't broken and, well...they end up breaking it. I hope that's not the case here since my favorite IPA is on the line!

Sixpoint - any chance you can give us a full run down of what is different and what we can expect vs. last year.

They've done that in another thread. I'll see if I can find it. Found it:

I'm guessing Resin which just made it to six packs a little while ago. I think Hi-Res will still be 4 packs.

Could be, I just picked up some fresh Resin in six packs last week.....and it's delicious. I keep going back and forth which one I like better, Resin or Hi Res. Nice dilemma.

You mean you picked up 1.5 4-packs of Hi-Res?

If it is Hi-Res, I think you got some old beer since it isn't out yet.
I hope, for your sake, it is some fresh Resin

Maybe it's in 6 packs now? I think they've changed their packaging for most or all of the beers to be in 6 packs.

While we have indeed moved (most) everything else to sleek 12oz six packs as noted previously in this thread by others, Hi-Res will remain in 12oz four packs. Thanks for all the support here, everyone - we're looking forward to sharing 2015 Hi-Res (weird to say that) with everyone very soon!

    Mr. Firecracker, et al -

It is also noted that humans have the propensity to fear change. But if change did not occur, we would have never released Resin or Hi-Res in the first place. We are confident you are going to love this year's formulation.

You can read about the release details here.

    cheers

Well I'd have to take issue with your attempted hijacking of "-heads." First it was the cheese-heads from Green Bay, then it was the dead-heads, and now the ale-heads? Wasn't hop-heads enough? Besides, they all stem from the original METAL-HEADS.

However, the real tragedy has been my reaching for resin in the local conglomo-liquor store, only to find resin has sold out. I had to call the waaaambulance. For myself. Twice. And I ran out of towels for crying in too. :slight_frown:

Frank Zappa said without deviation from the norm, progress is impossible. Or something like that. :sunglasses:

Glad to hear it's on it's way next week. Last year's high res was in my top three best DIPA's ever. Can't wait to try it out again this year.
