Really nice styro shippers if you ship 9 or 12. The three bottle shippers are cardboard and work for GSO but I wouldn't trust forwarding them with another carrier. I have quite the collection.

Indeed. They shipped me three shirts in a box that held a tulip, no clue how they packed them that tight but everything I've ordered merch wise has been $8 flat rate.

Styro liner with heavy cardboard around it. I too have quite a collection of all size shippers, seems they just keep multiplying.

The store is quoting me $20 to ship a tulip and a hoodie via USPS. What the hell is that about?

Weird. It's been $8 for every order I've placed, but they have all been small boxes. The hoodie won't fit in a tulip box no matter how much they mash it in, so it'll require a larger box I guess.

Yea I was going to order the RS tulip and the 4 tasters and it quoted me $14 for shipping, so I'm holding off for now.

That's really not a bad price for that. USPS Flat Rate is around there, and with glassware you want insurance, I'd gladly pay $14 for five glasses.

    From today's tasting room email:
So it "doesn't meet the Bruery's standards" but they're comfortable selling it to non-HS/RS members. The double speak on this release is absurd, just come out and say the bottles were infected. The continued dancing around the truth is insulting.

Are they pouring from kegs only or you can request a bottle pour too?

I guess, but a $14 shipping charge on just a hoodie is pretty insulting.

If the beer leaves the Tasting Room, it becomes a pumpkin. An infected pumpkin that will be used to brew Ignis again.

is it possible it's a newer batch?

i agree that they are contradicting themselves, but you'd have to be easily insulted to consider it "insulting"

If they had a newer batch that would be ready in early January, do you think they would've done $40,000 in refunds three weeks ago?

Call it what you want, but the communication about SHIT in particular has been a complete joke. I don't think I'm entitled to anything more than I've received - a notice that it was cancelled and a refund for the value of the bottle - but if they want people to be supportive as they try to overcome their issues, you'd think they'd be a bit more forthcoming rather than trying to hide what's going on. I can't guess at their motives in handling it how they have, but it's absolutely baffling that they didn't just admit what happened.

It is awful shifty but you can't really fault them for trying to recoup some of the losses by making it available for pours. We can fault them for being less than forthcoming for why they withheld the bottles.

when I had my hoodie shipped it was pre-USPS so it took the space of two bottles in a shipper.

I don't see how its baffling or insulting. Maybe, just maybe, they were 100% honest and felt it wasn't what they wanted it to be, period. I've had it and it doesn't live up to the story of a lighter BT IMO. Could they have re-labeled it and released it saving the money, but not hurting the name SHIT probably, but they would still have had to explain not releasing it. Easier to just sell it pour by pour at the tasting room or events.

Considering how many previously HS only beers trickled down to RS this year, I get the impression they're using HS as a testing grounds before doing wider rollouts to the other societies. And I'm fine with that - MW and Wineification are quite good.

    Hey all,

My apologies for the lack of clarity in regards to So Happen’s It’s Tuesday. Here’s a little more information on the beer, and why we decided to “release" it in the manner that we did.

We think So Happens It’s Tuesday tastes excellent right now. However, our lab detected microbial instability in the beer after the beer was packaged, but before the scheduled release. The beer is at very high risk of turning sour/funky. Due to this risk, we do not feel comfortable releasing this beer in any to-go format, but we do want to allow as many of our fans the opportunity to try this beer while it’s still as we intended it to taste. By only serving the beer in-house, we are able to refrigerate all bottles, monitor the progress of this beer by regular taste and lab tests, and destroy the beer in the event that it does in fact turn on us.

To be clear, the reason for not releasing So Happens It’s Tuesday is for stability concerns, not because there is a flavor/recipe flaw with the product we’re serving.

Thank you for your patience and support.
