That would be awesome. I'm headed down there Thursday May 29th through June 2nd. My family and friends takes an annual Sox trip every year to check out a new stadium and explore the city. Trying to convince @Louis121 to come with, but a bottle share with you crazy Texas guys would be awesome! Might actually have to check a bag for once to bring some goodies with me.

Don't know if you guys are Astro fans, but you should get tickets to the game one night as well. Think we'll be going to all three, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

 

Think I'll get down there this year - the 750 growlers will help... I could never justify a 64oz of those beers.

Don't even bother checking a bag, just get a couple 12 shippers while you're there.... i managed to send 3 by FedEx to meet me at home.

Actually, check that, check a bag so you can take home Live Oak Hefe, which is growler only. Don't want that going via FedEx if you can put it in your bags.

I actually got a little bit of shit at the new years party I went to because I brought a snifter to drink some of the beers I brought instead of using a pint. It wasn't so much "why are you using that glass" moreso than "you actually brought your own glass along"

I was just trying to be considerate and not dirty the hosts pint glasses of course

 

Well done sir. [virtual pat on back] I actually did the same thing but at least in my case it was just my in-laws' house and they know to expect it.

Cool! Sounds like a Locals bottle share in Houston that weekend. Anyone else in for this? I hear airfare to Houston is pretty cheap.... just sayin'

 

I do have that client in town... I wonder if there's a reason I need to go see them again... Would love to drink with you gents again, and meet those that didn't make it last time. We'd have to invite a few guys from outside The Locals too though, dicers, wiingman, allies_dad, and ajaylock at least.

 

Yup, booked round trip last week for $175, can't beat that. Sounds like we've got a nice little share shaping up. Think we should plan it for Saturday the 30th, I'll just skip the game that day. My family understands I have priorities!

 

How much does the Astrodome rent for nowadays?

 

Based on the quality of their baseball team, I'd guess about $50?

Unfortunately for my attendance, business meeting or no, I'll have a 2-month-old at that point, so no way am I leaving town. Just make sure while you're there you make it to Killen's for bbq, holy god that has to have been the best lunch I've ever had.
