This was my reaction as well. If I can get the beer on tap, and maybe even get a growler if I so choose, then I can live without bottles sales. I would mostly get bottles to include in trades anyway, which I'm assuming what interested most of the folks drive out from PDX, Salem, Boise, etc. That's not worth a 6 or 7 hour drive for me.

More BB DIPA's is always something I'm happy to hear about!

Me too. And agreed. I'd like to be able to have Chaos and Armored Fist side by side.

We filled 666 bottles, the rest was kegged and shipped. A few kegs to Boise, a few to Eastern Oregon, The rest to Point Blank.

Had Chaos on tap at Mongers. Really did not like this beer. Bitter and acrid beyond all belief, and couldnt even finish my glass. Just tasted like a bitter mess in my mouth

PS - i love barley browns and this is literally the only beer I have had from them that I dont like

I did...they are polar opposites even though both are technically Imperial CDA's. Only bit of advice is to drink Armored Fist first.

I wasn't blown away but thought it was tasty. Hoping more bottling happens.

    What makes them polar opposites?

Sounds like it caused some chaos with your taste buds! Haha, next time we cross paths remind me that I owe you a beer.

I would consider Chaos the ultimate in what an aggressive, in your face, straight from the Pacific Northwest Imperial CDA can be. Absolutely nothing subtle about it and not for the 'novice' beer-drinker.

Armored Fist has those incredible citrusy, fruity notes to it mixed with some pine. Awesome beer. But next to Chaos..and this isn't saying one is better than the other...it literally tastes like fruit juice. I wasn't able to appreciate it as much as I normally do after drinking Chaos first.

Interesting take. I wont be able to try them side by side but i just had armored fist last weekend and will be cracking my bottle of chaos this weekend so i should have a decent idea of the differences...i havent had chaos for like 4 months so i couldnt really recall the taste when drinking the armored fist this past weekend...

I just realized I never reported back after I drank my bottle...I am sure you are all anxiously awaiting to hear my thoughs

Had this last Friday and it was absolutely one of the best beers I have ever had. Easily the best Black IPA or Black Imperial IPA I have ever had and I think it is probably one of the top 10 beers I have ever had regardless of style...

I was very sad when the bottle was empty and havent had the heart to recycle it yet...on the following night I had some friends over and we drank a bunch of very good beers (including PtE and Heady) and nothing compared...I just thought of Chaos the whole time...
