Why isn't Founders Imperial Stout Bourbon aged?

    The problem is with Founders Imperial Stout is that it's better younger and fresh. When it ages, it becomes younger harder to drink. Which is very surprising to me because lots of Imperial Stouts are better as they age. Maybe that s why? i don't know, just a thought.

    I can't say I agree with that....I think it is pretty damn solid with a year on it.

    Because it's nice to have a world class stout that's not too expensive.

    In fact I actually DID read the entire thread before posting, thanks chief. I know they've barrel aged it before actually.

    I was talking about as a whole, there's no reason for them to consider them keeping it barrel aged. But, I hope it feels so good to be right, and exhilerating when you copied and pasted that link.

    Exhilerating? no, But OP was unaware that they had previously brewed this, so it was helpful.
