I still consider myself a newbie to the MN scene, so maybe I am missing something. But I think Lift Bridge produces some solid if not outstanding brews, yet, doesn't seem to have a loud or highly publicized presence. Am I just seeing this the wrong way?

I think their Hop Dish might be the outstanding example of a MN produced IPA, I love their Commander and the Saison is a staple in many bars I visit.

I wonder if we will see them quietly assume a very prominent role in the regional scene?

Couldn't be... he gave hop dish only a 4.25 when we all know that every LB beer is clearly a 5.

Silhouette is one of my favorite stouts. Just picked up a bottle of Commander but haven't had a chance to drink it yet.

It doesn't stay "quietly awesome" if you shout it out here! Please consider deleting this post before you turn them into the next hype train.

Should you choose to continue your wild evangelism know that you are putting at risk the ability for Commander and Saison to be a staple many bars you visit.

Edit to answer your question: We will only see them quietly grow if you maintain the silence!

LB 'the next hype' train? I don't think we have to worry about that. BA Sil is apparently the best beer in MN, but that's the only thing people are going crazy over.

Put some better dating on Hop Dish and maybe I will buy more. I have had far too many shelf turds from them.

I go quietly crazy over Commander.

I usually have Farm Girl in my fridge.

Hop Dish on tap is always good.
I agree with others on the dating; I'd definitely buy more HD sixers if I knew how fresh it was.

Lift Bridge is probably the best brewery in Minnesota I have no real experience with. For some reason I just never seem to pick some up when I try something new. I think part of it is their branding. When you look in the cooler you don't recognize the 5 varieties as being from the same brewery. Or maybe that's just me.

I really like Hop Dish, a top 5 Mn IPA in my book. I've been seeing it on draft a lot lately which is awesome.

Where are you guys buying Hop Dish because I've never had issues since it generally sells well. You might want to take it back next time or hit up Dan (@DJSchwarz) or @LiftBridge on Twitter. Guessing they'd want to know. The guys that run and work at Lift Bridge are a solid group of guys. They've always made great beers but Matt the head brewer has definitely fine tuned some of the beers and created some great new ones since arriving. Fun but low key tap room with some tasty treats on cask here and there. Commander release is one of my favorite events out there.

    Hey Guys,

Thanks for praise. It is always nice to hear people are enjoying our beers.

In reference to the question on date coding, I just posted a response here. If you run into a place that Hop Dish didn't taste right, please let me know. I want to get there and fix things. I will buy you a beer in the taproom for your trouble. Thanks for your help!

What if the hop dish from the taproom doesn't taste right, will I get another hop dish from the tap room, claim that one didn't taste right and ask for another... So and and so forth?

Actually, I never had a Lift Bridge beer I didn't like. I especially like the pils and saison in cans.

Thanks to @LiftBridge for the clarification, was able to pick up HopDish bottled 364. First time buying a 6'r in a long time, glad I can confidently buy again. Looking forward to the BA Silhouette release!

If a beer is off in the taproom please do return it. We clean our lines weekly, use beer clean glasses (no refilling a glass either), use a spritzer and serve fresh beer. It shouldn't happen, but we will stand behind our product.

Just had a @LiftBridge getaway pilsner and decided it would be a great beer for my wedding in June. It's a tasty beer that isn't too strong on any one flavor to turn off non craft beer drinkers but Noticed its a seasonal? Anybody know what months its available and where I can score a couple kegs?
