Dark Lord Day (DLD) 2015

    Best part of my DLD last year was 6am until the gates opened. Bottle sharing around me was epic and I was a total novice. Next year I'll be there ticket or no. Once the death metal started it became a LOT less fun for me and I was out as soon as I could pick up my beers. Is 36 too old to wish they'd just turn the damn volume down??

    This!! This Exactly!! I was Group A so we got there at about 6 as well. The most EPIC bottle share ever ensued until the gates opened. I hate heavy metal....if 36 is when you stop enjoying stupid loud music, then I am way ahead of schedule :stuck_out_tongue:

    Exactly this. The bands were way over there....the guest taps were way over there....the Dark Lord lines were way over there....

    The only place that was mayhem was the line for Necromancer....

    Damn coffee fools!

    I was more joking around and poking fun at the music than actually complaining. I actually spent most of DLD last year sitting against the fence no more than 70 feet from the stage.

    We camped next to the brewery last year. Friday night was comfy cozy. Saturday morning was not. This year I plan to bring my trailer smoker and sling bbq sandwiches and breakfast tacos for those you waiting in line.

    Buckle up. We are on a nonstop train to flavor town.

    I will not be going because it's a huge pain in the ass. I may go get a hotel in muenster the night before and just go to the Bottleshare there.

    Given last year's online queue for tickets, I won't make the same mistake of waiting until a minute before the tickets were supposed to go on sale this year.

    First dark lord in 6 years I wont be able to attend. Alas, tis a shame. I'll continue traveling up the west coast for work though. Maybe a friend can/would trade when the time comes for some Cali goodies I'll have?
