Has there been any comment from the Bruery on this ?
I am glad I did not purchase my allocations at this time but of course picked up the initial package so have 2
I really need some clarity on this because all the recently infected bottles and lack of sours is just getting frustrating
Already starting to wonder if I made a mistake about renewing membership.

Seriously? The first report of an infection just came in this morning. I've said my piece about their communication but even I think that question is absurd.

I'm holding out for word from The Bruery before I worry. They've been too cautious the last year with letting infected bottles leave without notice or canceling.

We had a bottle of MW at a bottle share last night and it was fantastic. Zero signs of infection.

Are there going to be 32oz fills of beers they won't do 64oz fills of? Prices going to be half the cost or around there I guess?

    Wholly Cau! You could walk....

edit: for people in southern california: walking is that thing where you drive without the car and it goes slower and you use both feet at the same time and it is harder to shoot at the other drivers who are using their cars and you can see the trees and....

You know no one in Arizona walks anywhere without some form of air conditioning.

You seem to be mistaken as along this 3 mile route there are no trees and it would be a pretty boring and awful walk.

That's what the beer is for.

Today the 32oz fills were the same beers that were available as 64oz fills and they were basically half the cost.

Cracked open a bottle of this years MW tonight and its drinking quite good. No signs of infection or anything. Also cracked a bottle of port BT and man, thats a damn good beer.

On a different note, Ignus Fatus is infected. Cracked that tonight and it just has this odd sour smell and the up front taste is a bit sour. It was still drinkable but not very good.

Hey glad you enjoyed your beer! No need to call me idiotic for sharing my experience. Lets hope it's an isolated experience and everyone can calm down. It's beer.

I hope, for our sake, that it was isolated and it sounds more and more like it was or a small bad batch or something since I believe Xul saw another forum where another individual said something similar about their bottle. I assume you already emailed Bruery and can also only hope that you will get a replacement bottle to make up for the experience.

The other forum mentioned was the same dude above ^ so it looks like a very isolated incident.

Well, there we go. This will hopefully shut all you naysayers up. Mhksuccess has opened one bottle and it was without problems so we can stop the investigation.

FWIW, I scanned the 98 total check-ins on Untappd for the 2015 MW vintage and not one word of an infection. Obviously not definitive, but definitely covers a broad swath of people.
