Anyone have any idea why bottles were popping up on BPT 4-6 hours after it had originally sold out? I'm assuming carts don't take that long to expire

Most likely duplicate orders with the same name which they said they would be cracking down on.

Getting THE FRESHEST possible draft pours around should be reward enough.

But why not? Just because you say so? That's not the reality of the real world. I could give you a hundred examples of how loyal customers are rewarded over random customers in every day life. How come beer should be any different? Heck, it's called good business practice to take care of your most loyal costumers.

I'm searching now on Goggle for all your posts chastising every single car manufacturer who offer loyalty rebates...

Iggy, like I said, if you were personally keeping Alpine afloat by visiting multiple times a week, referring friends, using them as a keg supplier for events... etc.. I'm certain you would well enough know the owners to the extent that they would be hooking you up anyways. Reality is, it would be hard to quantify who the really really "good" customers are without some sort of society program because the loyal customers would be willing to put the money up front. Now there is a fair share of criticism when it's comes to beer clubs, but I personally have no problem with it.

I've said many times throughout this thread that it's not something that's easy to quantify. It's actually basically impossible, but if I could come up with an algorithm to make it work, I'd put BPT out of business.

Just because it's basically impossible to quantify though doesn't mean that regulars shouldn't be rewarded. Granted, Alpine is a lot bigger now that regular customers aren't the ones keeping it afloat anymore, but at one point it was, and there are plenty of small breweries out there who are kept afloat purely from their customers.

Question: is anybody participating in this thread an Alpine regular? And if so, qualify it somehow, please.

How could a business similar to Alpine (but with good business sense) grow their business if all their special releases or limited beers keep going to the same small group of regulars? Gotta get those beers out there and get the word spread!

Also, maybe Alpine doesn't care as much about their regulars as you think they do. I'm sure they SAY they do (what do you expect them to say to their regulars--"Um, yeah you're not special to us. You're just another customer." ???) Maybe they care about what's easiest for them, and BPT seems to fit that bill. Our money spends the same as anyone from Alpine's does.

Haha, same here. I happened to finish something at work, click on Facebook quick, saw the Alpine
I am a regular. I live in the town of Alpine, 0.6 miles away from the brewery and pub.

And yet, so little in this thread (relatively). Those that can, Alpine, those that can't BA butthurt.

[for the record, I'm not a regular, not even close LOL]

You grow your brand by getting all of your beers out there, not just a single sour that really doesn't even begin to define you as a brewery. Why do you think Bells and Founders have / going to have distro in California. We don't get BN and KBS.

Then you'd complain they're sending out too many beers and not keeping enough around for the regulars. Gimme a break.

I go 3 times a month. I would probably go 4 but those bastards are often out of Nelson.
By the way with all this shitting all over Alpine I'll mention a positive. This beer would have sold out for $25 a piece. Alpine never gets any credit for keeping their prices low.
    Nelson Showers $9<Alpine Nelson $6.
    Pupil Growler $17?<Nelson Growler $15
