I will be visiting the Nixa/Springfield, MO area today through Wednesday and was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for good beer stores, craft beer spots, or recommendations for good local and regional craft beers to try. I'm a hop head and love a good, fresh IPA, but would also love to find some Abraxas, especially BA, even if it's a long shot. Does anyone know of any good places in the area to find anything? Thanks and cheers!

I've never been to Springfield, but Brown Derby is you best best for beer. If you're looking for some mix-a-six on the cheap, HyVee might be a good stop, too.

Brown Derby International Wine Center and Macadoodles are best craft stores in town. If you haven't already, be sure to pick up some Mother's. They are great local brewery. Patton Alley Pub and the Mud Lounge, both downtown, have good selections on tap.

The above suggestions are good. Definitely go to Mother's if you can. I can assure you though you won't find any BA Abraxas
