    You did say you had a few ideas for other bifs brewing up... your sender would probably have one of the easier times playing by those rules.

    Easier, sure; but if it's in a self-contained group like The Locals then it'd be pretty easy to figure out someone who has your target's address, no matter who it is. In that group everyone that didn't just join the group recently (like a few 12 Days folks) has probably sent to (return address on label) or received from at least a couple people in the group.

    It'd be like a thread history scavenger hunt. Of course, I'm probably the only person who thinks that would be 'fun', most people would probably think it was anywhere from 'mildly annoying' to 'prohibitively annoying'...

    We are about a week out from my original post and only have 6 confirmed joiners right now. Luckily with the later shipping window we still have plenty of time for getting more joiners (original time frame for sending out targets was the 21st but it could even be a week later since I pushed back the shipping window.) So any one on the fence if you have any questions let me know and anyone who has joined I could use some help getting people on board. We already got some fun people on board, but I'd like to get some more numbers for some variety.

    Is anyone on the fence worried about the minimum amount of beer? That is something that isn't set in stone. I initially set it high because BIF's always seem to end up with that much beer sent. If anyone is being held back by that we can drop it a bit and set a maximum to make things as fair as possible.

    I'm still on the fence, just because I don't know how much else will be going on by May. Since you slid the BIF window back, do you still need commitments now?

    Yeah I am still struggling a little with commitments. Around 10 people have confirmed as of now. I would really like to get 20 but I am not overly hopeful. I feel I really need a few more to keep this a float. That would be a shame though with the great people we have on board.

    If we don't get enough for this to run as its own BIF, perhaps @bbpro47 would be willing to add some sort of vintage bottle requirement to the Stouts IV BIF that's coming up? Nothing big, not as many different vintage requirements as this would have had on its own, but just one bottle that's at least 2 years old, or something along those lines maybe?

    No need to adjust the rules. If this doesn't work I'm sure there will be something else to jump in on. And there is always the 12 Days of Summer or whatever it will be.
