I just cracked mocha Wednesday last night. Delicious, no signs of infection at all.

Another question for experienced shippers. My buddy is FedEx-ing me my Preservation shipment from last quarter. He did it through my FedEx account, and it totaled around $30. That's significantly more than I would have expected to ship just three bottles, even for CA -> NY. I was under the impression that shipping through an account saves a bit of money. Does that total sound about right to you guys?

Also, I haven't gotten an email notification nor does FedEx.com mention the shipment anywhere. Not listed on my invoice or nothin'. Tracking number my friend sent me shows that it's awaiting pick-up from the FedEx location, so at least I know it exists. Does it usually take a day or two to show up on your account or something?

That's a bit high. I use a FedEx account and only time it gets to $30 is if I have a full 12-shipper. Though usually I under guess the weight and hope they don't notice to get it cheaper. Also they aren't open Sunday's so don't expect an update until tomorrow most likely.

True. in fact it is probably worse here (in the AZ cities) than even in LA
People drive from one end of parking lot to another.
Even when its 75 F and sunny

Trust me I've got no love for the social habits of Arizonans in the large.
Just poking (easy) fun at Southern California ..low hanging fruit as it were...

I mean, I guess I could be underestimating the massive size of the Preservation shippers since I haven't held one before, but $30 still seems like way too much even going by that new pricing scheme.

Well if your talking about shipping directly from the Bruery they use GSO. I'll have to start watching my billing as the FedEx website doesn't require dimensions as of a couple days ago for accounts. Not sure if they are up charging after the fact though.

Usually costs me around $18.00 to ship a three bottle shipper from San Diego to Pittsburgh. I can't believe it would be $12.00 more for you.

Just did an estimate for 2015, price went up to $19.60.

Ive never had mocha wednesday before but just popped a bottle of the 2015. Not sure if its a placebo effecy or not but I do get a slight tartness/sour. Do infections change the mouthfeel as well? Its feeling lighter than all the other variants of BT.

I cracked 2015 mw on last wed (Had a rough week and it seemed appropriate for a wed) and it was fan freaking tastic. Very little ethanol burn compared to last year. Very enjoyable.

Also had some from bottle on smm...no problems there either.

Sorry to hear you got a bad bottle.

Had MW tonight. Amazing and no sign of infection at all.
However, first of the new grumblers I received leaked beer (actually dripping out of top!) while sitting st Bruery. They replaced it and new one seems good, just a fyi that some might be problematic.

I could just be going crazy, gave a few tasters to a few friends without telling them about he rumor of infection and they do pick up some tartness

I don't know if anything would surprise me with infections at this point, BUT we all know that the Bruery is doing a ton of QC checks in the lab for infection. This is why SHIT was "shit-canned" before release and why FdR and RdF were sold with all the disclaimers. I have to believe that they're doing the same lab analysis for every non-sour beer prior to release.

That is higher than normal. For me to have a twelve shipper sent from CA to me in GA it's right at $40. And using an account does indeed save (or should), I used to pay upwards of $65-70 for the same deal just using UPS direct at Office Depot. Unless the box is just really big or they've raised their fees, I guess you'll know when you get it.

I sent a 33lb box from San Diego to Denver via FedEx on 12/29 for $22.71. Just a another data point.

It usually costs me 25 or so to ship a 40lb box to NJ, but that was before the rate hike date.
