Probably, though surely that's an issue with every niche release (and thereby amply demonstrates the limitations of sites like these). Only solution is to wait for a large enough sample size to minimize all the statistical, er, tinkering:slight_smile:

Oh I know, just making light of the situation. That's actually what I find funny. Next week there will be another hyped up release and I'll have to refrain from looking at the trade forums for a few days.

Have fun picking up your bottles, great timing for Nelson availability(win/win).

Not going to lie, a little jealous for missing out.

I hope its on tap so we get to see what others say before some of us get ours. Sadly no matter if the beer is awesome or just good people will say its only rated high for trade value purposes which is sad. Such is craft beer nowadays!

    It's...it's...so beautiful... haha.

I really hope they knocked it out of the park with this one though.

I am just glad that when I checked the webcam this morning those evil red letters next to Nelson were replaced with the happy blue/green ones.

Probably will head down there this evening and have to do my pickup from the pub. Hopefully those working teh pub won't hate me too much.

Same here, long drive from Redlands ahead of me. Praying for Nelson bottles at the pub and tasters of Kiwi

Yup. Saw it, $2 for 1oz, $8 for 6oz. First review I saw "better than DDG"...

Well that's one way to reward the locals. Nobody else makes their limited releases available on draft, especially not with 6oz pours

Sadly probably true. I will likely drive up around 7:30 tonight and watch the last couple of pours go out ahead of me in line.

US beer scene is so out of hand. Walked into Cantillon 4 months after Fou had been released and bought 6 bottles for $10/bottle. So glad to be over it

I don't see him as "humblebragging". He's just making a point that, although Fou is a limited release for Cantillon, it was still available after 4 months from the release. Shoot over to the US and look at a majority of the "limited releases" and there you will find an absolute shit show. Is it because all of these US limited releases beers are THAT much better than Fou? Of course not. It's all about hype and NEEDING to have that coveted limited release regardless if it tastes great or not. It's that greedy and status driven American attitude that is tarnishing the craft beer community. You've been a member since 2011, certainly you have seen a difference in the trade forums from then to now. It's all about winning and less about advocacy.
