What to do about not receiving trade

    Life is weird stuff happens, but he should have reimbursed the guy in some way either return the guys beer or ship him an agreed upon replacement. Pretty simple, not a sorry about that, but all my beer was stolen, that's BS.

    I agree with you about the communication and making it right, no doubt. Personally, I'd just give the guy a break for the shitty situation, but that's just me.

    Depending on how it was boxed and labeled the thief may have just grabbed whatever was nearest the door and/or everything in the Uhaul not realizing it was beer

    Just curious, what was it that you were supposed to receive? I can see what I have on hand to make up for this guy not coming through.

    Maybe it's the jersey in me, makes me feel like a snitch for the flaming the guy even though I understand that on principle, many reputable traders would have at least returned the box. I just approached it like my box can be the first beers to rebuild his collection I suppose. If someone is going to rip me off on $50 of beer after 16 positive trades then something must have happened in their lives.
    (I have privately forwarded the users name to the powers that be here because my intent was not for a public shaming)

    i appreciate that, i have no expectations of ever hearing from the trader again but obviously you never know

    it was for 2 ol leghorns, i truly do appreciate you offering that, that epitomizes what beer and trading should all be about - just enjoying the liquid that brings us all together. I could not, however, accept a freebie :slight_smile: I believe that whatever I have put out there will be paid forward in one fashion or another as corny as it may sound

    Also, for what its worth, he did give me a number of the police report he filed about the incident. I never bothered to go through efforts of verifying because I took it at face value. And again, if someone is going to go to those lengths and not be honest, then they need the beer more than me anyway - so i will still take it at face value and trust what he told me.

    Someone with 36 positive feedback, traded with me before, screwed me over, went silent for 6 months then contacted me recently to set things right. Got a makeup box about a month ago. The story is longer than that and he got called out, etc.. The guy still owes you and should make it right, but you and I are of the same mind on this one in letting it go.
