I had a Coopers Pale with dinner. I forgot how absolutely awful that beer is. Still the best thing on tap at the Kewdale Tavern though... place is a joke for beer.

Now I shall drink some lambic!

You should have said, I had the two Arvo lagers, and I didn't vote for either, because they were both utter garbage.

Unfortunately was stuck with either Fat Yak, Bulmers or Carlton Draught at my gig last night. Tried a pint of each. None really did anything for me, though Fat Yak was significantly better than I remember it - nice Nelson Sauvin character!

Will be drinking homebrewed oatmeal stout and ipa tonight after I finish installing my new Perlick taps. Mmmm... bling....

Recently had the Schlenkerla Eiche Doppelbock - crazy good beer!

Murray's Bob's Farmhouse Ale, Brooklyn Sorachi Ace, Bear Republic Red Rocket, Temple Midnight IPA, Hoptimum and Nogne Imperial Stout. A fine bunch. That Midnight IPA is right about where a black IPA should be, I think.

Nice. I wasn't so keen on the Temple Midnight IPA when I had it on tap but to each their own.

Litt. Creat Day of the Long Shadow.

Initially I wasn't impressed, then I realised I had just eaten some chillis and we were serving it too cold.

Now I've de-chilli-ed my taste buds and let it warm up a bit....delicious. Nice spiced brown ale flavours. This is as close to a proper review as I'm doing Mr Heygeebee.

One minor grumble....With this name and Murray's naming of beers, I'm concerned breweries are doing what The Smiths did when naming things. Stop Me if You've Heard This One (complaint) Before.

I'm not the greatest lover of BIPAs, but I did enjoy this one.

I'm not excited about Cascadian Dark Ales either, but the Temple I think is the one I've liked the most except probably for Southern Tier Iniquity.

Got my Beermasons pack yesterday and working through some of the Mendocino beers with my flatmate just now. So far they're all really bad.

Day of the Long Shadow (pretty good imo), Hoptimum (also really starting to enjoy this) and now a Bigfoot which I'm not sure I'm going to finish.
