I can't speak to mothman's specific concern, but I do know in general a smaller opening is easier to CO2 purge than a widemouth, and most likely lasts a little longer when opened. But, I am sure they will do a good job and it will all be fine.

I just see pouring a 750 ml swing top into a snifter much easier than a mason jar. Also concerned about the shelf life of these compared to the regular growlers. The last ones lasted for years. Just a bit worried with how they are going to fill them with such a huge opening. I'm sure it will be fine, but given the choice, I know what I would go with.

I'll probably just end up running and miss it, so yeah...

Any word on how early one has to get there on the 8th? Is this like an insane thing like many other beer releases, or is it pretty chill? This will be my first year attending, so any local guidance is much appreciated.

They didn't even sell out the day of opening sales last year. Just kind of a fun event to hang out with some good people. A few people even bring beers to share.

Awesome. That's what I love about Town Hall is that its lack of any sort of non-draft distribution keeps it low-key much of the time. Thanks for the quick response!

No problem! I am hoping (and expecting) another pretty chill ticket release event.

It has been a couple of years since I last attended the ticket release, but I am pretty sure bringing bottles is strongly frowned upon. That being said, I think with making these 750's it should be pretty easy to show up at whatever time and get most of what you are looking for. I will be swinging by after work around 3 to pick up one or two growlers.

They provided us with a huge garbage bag last year to clean up. Chris was pretty cool about it. I think he would have said something if it wasn't okay. It's nothing like darkness day, so if it stays really low key, I doubt there will be a problem.

That's good. I just remember several years ago it wasn't done. Again, I haven't been in a while and won't be there this year either. I think there is a greater risk of having a cop drive by and cite people for open liquor violations. The defense would be that the large outdoor section that is part of the patio may not be considered public space.

I wouldn't be worried about it as a legal issue. I was there for Festivus and there were fire pits out on the patio and everyone was drinking their beers there. They were also serving grogg and mulled wine on the patio for outdoor consumption.

I don't think THB is an establishment that is allowed to have outside liquor/beer/wine consumed on premise (I could be wrong). Since THB owns that patio, It probably is illegal.. However, Im not sure that THB will really care/enforce anything , and Im not sure Cops are up to hassle a bunch of neck beards drinking on the patio of a brewery on a Sunday morning

So, apologies if this a stupid question that's been answered already. When you buy the tickets, is it for a specific beer and if so, do you have to stop in the day it's released? Example: say I wanted to buy 5 different beers. I stop in on Sunday to buy 5 tickets. Will those tickets say which beer I get? Could I just stop back in at the end of the week and get all 5 in one fell swoop?

The tickets will say which beer and you don't have to go in on the day of release.
