Just took a look at the Bros review of BBC listings. They rated 10 of their beers in the 90s and that's excluding Utopias. Not too shabby for any brewery. That being said they do also have a lot of crappy beers: Pineapple IPA, Blueberry Hill, Cherry Wheat, Porch Rocker was a total drain pour for me--just couldn't deal with it.

I'd definitely go to one, so I could tick the rest of those SA brews that I haven't caught up with yet.

If that's the case I could see Sam Adams entering partnerships with a national or regional chain restaurants instead. There are some chain restaurants that work hard for a more upscale experience, which I could see a deal with Sam Adams as mutually beneficial. For example, something similar to how TGI Fridays partners with Jack Daniels, or Unos in the Philadelphia area partners with Weyerbacher Brewing. Most chains are already pouring Sam Adams anyway, so it would be a better way to promote products that are already there.

Interesting idea, and I'd go there, especially if they had 120 taps (or whatever the number of beers is that Sam Adams has brewed). The pub could be called "Sam's Place" and have a musical jingle that ends in "...where everybody knows your name." And a Boston setting is the right place to put the first location. (Maybe somewhere just off Boston Commons.)

Church Brewery's located in a former Church, doesn't make me anymore pious when I visit

Was there once too, a long time ago with my brother, I can't even remember the beers we had.

It'd be kinda like Bubba Gump Shrimp, Toby Kieth's I Love This Bar, or Big Kahuna Burger. I like it.

I'd call it Samuel Adams' Boston Tavern.

Maybe BBC could franchise out brewpubs? Locally owned, but under the Sam Adams brand?

Props to Yemenmocha-his idea. Thought it needed its own thread.
Other benefit could be that BBC would not feel the need to bottle so many beers. Keep the shelves stocked with those high quality 90+ rating beers

I'd love to see a Sam Adams brewpub which carried some of their less common brews. I'd definitely make occasional stops there, just like I always stop at a Ballast Point one when I'm in San Diego.

I would definitely go if it was close to me and if they put their better hard to find offerings on tap; so I would not have to buy a variety pack to get two of their better beers.

How about wings drizzled with Utopias?

Yes, you are correct. I would always go by it on my way to Commonwealth Brewing( or was it back bay?)

"Sam Adams world headquarters and bistro gardens" I think would be an awesome name:stuck_out_tongue:
