I find if I store them as jpegs, there is little to no hop aroma fade.

Unfortunately when you crack them open you get cuts all along your esophagus.

You might want to switch to a format like tiff in the future in order to eliminate any and all degradation.

    Two alternative replies (pick one):
    • No. Because inevitably they'd show other areas of my house, and then it would be obvious that I've been drinking beer instead of cleaning.
    • It's not hoarding if you're going to drink it.

I think I have more beer that I don't want to drink than I do in my fridge right now...

I'm now guessing you have more empty bottles in your house than full, which would put you in a tug-of-war between my show and the show that already exists.

Good guess. I actually try to remove the labels and recycle the glass but some labels are pretty stubborn, so I do have a few grocery bags of bottles piling up. Ironically, these are taking up extremely limited space in the basement where I want to put an exercise bike I got for Father's Day to help me burn the calories from all this beer I've been drinking. It's kind of a vicious cycle right now... :slight_frown:

All you have to do is put a recycling can next to the exercise bike for easy access.

My drinkers (beers not saved for any special occasion) are currently

    Jai Alai
    Madurro Brown
    Tocabago Red
    Golden Monkey
    Joe's Pils
    White Rascal
    O'Fallon Kite Tail

I have at least 25 special(er) occasion stouts, BWs, Trappist, sours, etc. in the fridge and at least 70 varieties in the cellar.

I just looked, I have 7 choices in my fridge right now. Just so you can compare. 3 of those are down to just a single 12oz, 2 of them are single bombers, and 2 of them have 3+ 12oz.

Thank you...as I was beginning to think my fridge maybe the only one with such an appearance... I currently have about 20 different beers in the old College Dorm Fridge in the basement...and god knows how many in the beer fridge in the garage..I'd say at least 20... The results of some trading for bottles/cans here and there as well as winning a BIF... I usually refer to the beer in my fridge as a rainbow, as there's something from every color...

I usually have around 4/5 varieties. Currently several Homebrew IPA, 1 SA Noble Pils, Hoponious Union, 1 Old Raputin and 3 miller lites.

The only things I have in my "cellar" is Lambic from Cantillon & and a Westmalle Quad that I bought while on vacation in Belgium. I dont buy beer to age or cellar.

I never buy beer that I dont intend to drink some of within the next few days, but I usually grab something new before finishing off a 6 or 12 pack.

Pretty much the same as me.

No problems with the people who like to collect, but I'm a drinker not a hoarder.

Usually 2 or 3 kinds of 12 oz bottles, some homebrews, and some bomber/750s that I may or may not drink anytime soon. Nothing crazy. I have lots of other stuff in the "cellar" or whatever you want to call the unfinished side of my basement, but I'll generally plan out my consumption of those and stick them in the fridge the day I want to drink them.
