Yeah, that sounds more like it.Seemed quite busy Fri, vs other Fridays.

I always go on Fridays around 9 PM for releases. I have never really hit a line of more than 5 people. But, yesterday was definitely the most people I have seen on a Friday. Probably about 20 people in both lines when I showed. It was still long at 10PM and they eventually got through everyone by 11.

epic, even a long line at stanleys. I did wait an hour in the new bottle line, but it was a nice day and there was beer, so no one seemed to care. This may be the new normal for releases, our little farmhouse brewery is all growed up.

And someone is seriously slacking off if 75 people went un-muled.

Wasn't out there this weekend unfortunately (first release I missed in a long while), but I wouldn't be too quick to think this is a new norm just yet. A big factor is just how huge / popular Prairie is in TX, despite the price complaints from people. Add that, plus JK's already built in audience for low count releases, plus the low bottle count release, plus another lower bottle count release (ET), plus the gorgeous weather, equals more of a madhouse than normal.

Now, if this kind of turnout hits the next non fruit release, or even the next Atrial (i.e. a larger volume fruit sour release), then I might start to panic.

Hope everyone enjoyed it who was out there.

Line? Oh yes, there was a line today. Never seen anything like it at JK, except at that first Funk & Sour. I hope this isn't a sign of whats to come for every future release, but who knows.

I skipped the bottle line and had the new beers on tap. Natural Union was far and away the winner for me, so delicious. Would love to have it in the summer (re-brew please???).

So odd people are freaking out about the lines this weekend like it will be a regular occurrence. Collaborations by Prairie and Evil Twin on the same weekend? Of course it's going to be crazy.

I think a huge portion of it comes from announcing it 2 weeks in advance and having 2 releases.....the nice weather doesn't hurt but Fen Tao showed that weather does not factor too much.

With that said, it was not utter chaos like some. It was an organized line, just long.

I like announcing the week of, but I am selfish because I live in Austin and want it all to myself.

I definitely saw Jeppe, not sure about Chase

Jeppe is more distinctive looking for sure though ha, so easier to find...

Both were there. Both were very nice, and willing to chat.

I'd agree. This weekend was like a perfect storm - 2 new collabs being released; Brewers on site; awesome weather after weeks of cold and clouds. Add to that the multiple large tour busses that showed up, and long lines were unavoidable.

I'd like to commend the Jester King staff, though. Despite the huge turnout, I thought lines moved very swiftly, and they were well prepared. We hung out through the afternoon, and had a great time

I really think the bottle lines are a non-issue for people who want to just hang out and try the new releases. I showed up at noon and promptly got a glass of each of the three new beers I hadn't tried (didn't catch autumnal last weekend). I just like trying great beer and, for me, that wasn't impacted at all. I understand people like to have bottles to trade and such but if you're just out there to enjoy Jester King's beers, these lines won't impact you at all. So drink up

On the bright side, the long lines stop people from walking around to random tables and asking them for their bottles.

Was really turned off by people doing that...then proceeding to be the same ppl complaining that someone would trade their bottles for anything less than the rarest beers. /drama nonsense
