But then he would start talking about the San Diego beer scene and the Dorado bottle dating and the fact that it is crap after 27 days and we need to appreciate better beer like the people of San Diego and they would never be tricked into buying a 3 pack of pre-packaged beer and the MKE distributors don't know anything because they are selling old Dorado.....etc, etc.

 

I gotta say that 3 month old Dorado in my Seafarer pack was actually really good. Maybe being enclosed in the box helped improve it's shelf life? You could tell the hops had faded a bit, but it didn't exhibit that stale hop flavor you get with a lot of old APA/IPA/DIPAs. I assume the higher ABV helps stabilize it a bit too.

I seemed to have missed it before, but it looks like you guys trolled OP hard enough in the other thread that he quit BA.

 

I thought about buying a Seafarer pack initially but I'm not as big a fan of V@S as other people can be, so I opted to wait until individual bombers become available. I thought it was a bit sneaky how the hoppy bombers are enclosed inside the box when V@S is not, so I couldn't read the bottling dates.

 

Yeah, that is a bit disingenuous. That said, there's no reason you can't open the box and look at the bottle dates.

To be fair, I'm pretty sure they come year round to Chicago and are gone instantly.

 

Keeps em fresh. IPAs should be intentionally under produced so they don't sit on the shelf and collect dust.

 

Which is fine, but then people who don't get them will be complaining that they don't send enough.

 

meh, consumers complain about everything. Not enough, too old, too expensive, cans, bottles, ect...

 

Beer should begin shipping out next week in WI market!
