Exactly. We have no interest in brewing to style or trying to "nail" the style perfectly. That's what gives us our own style! We did not start this brewery to appease BJCP judges - this is about formulation friends! peace

Question, if a beer you guys "hate" becomes popular and a huge hit, would you still say "out with the old: in with the new"? I like a brewery sticking to their guns. I know a few places that tend to just brew what made them popular and its just too repetitive for so many of the brewers. 4 core beers is nice and gives some sense of rotation. I have also seen locally a seasonal become so popular that the people had a demand for it year round and the brewery made those changes. Some places brew for themselves and others try to mix it up.. Tough either way I presume

Wish I could try the Beast Mode (and Hi-Freakin Res!) this weekend, but our a-hole distributor in NE OH is apparently sitting on it until next week.....new Boulevard Brewing out here this week, so I guess they (Cavalier, this means you!) feel they have to "ration" out new beers.....looked for it all over here this week, no body has seen or even heard of it....sad, distro b-shit.

What I like is that its a different concept. New beers come in as others rotate out. I gotta find Beast Mode now....

It is a tough call, but we're very proud at Sixpoint to say that we don't just brew a beer because its popular. We brew beers that we believe in, and if they are not popular now, we think they will be once the customers fully appreciate them. That is much different than just chasing trends or dollar bills. It takes constant self-awareness and self-reflection to make sure you are not simply pandering the masses - authenticity is our highest virtue.

The team at Cavalier OH do a great job and I'm sure you will be very happy when the Hi-Res lands this upcoming week. OH already sold out, so make sure to get it while you can.

Yes, this ensures that there is not too much clutter. The constant churn keeps things nice and fresh.

The moment I spot Beast Mode and Hi-Res six packs I will definitely be stocking up. Thanks again for the feedback!

Great beers. Core is available at all times. Price creep by retailers keeps me away. Used to be 4-16oz cans for $8. Now it's 6-12oz cans for $11-12. I can't feed the retail monster as he rips my wallet away.

    Enjoy

which city/area is this? Outside of NYC, it should be $9.99 for the core, $10.49-$10.99 at the highest margin places.

Sorry, have to disagree on this one.....too much "retailer favoritism" and bs with the way these sales reps dole our new beers to accounts....major beer retailer I spoke with told me his rep would not even tell him how many cases of either Hi Res or Beast Mode he would get....crazy shit....tried to "pre-order" some of both and was told not possible

Glad to hear you're working on getting Sixpoint back into the pittsburgh market. Sixpoint was one of the first breweries I really enjoyed when I first started drinking good beer, then it disappeared from the area. I'll be sure to do my part to spread the Sixpoint love when it returns.

when we find the right distribution partner...

    interesting...we will investigate that

    ok!

this is an anomaly....must be due to "bottle shop" prices where the 4th tier is getting a markup from the sub-distributor...if you go to NJ its $9.99 all day

    we'll be back in PGH....

enjoy it while you can....will return November 2015

that won't be happening for the foreseeable future...

    its safe for a while

Was just reading so I checked out beermenus to find my local place and they've got a good amount of Sixpoint stuff in, but it's kinda pricey for some of the lower ABV beers. Is $12.50 for a 6-pack of Sensi Harvest normal?

slightly high...but not outrageous. Someone said they saw $18 Resin 6-packs the other day, which seemed excessive.
