One beer that is always on the shelf near me is Blue Hills Quarter Double Mile IPA. Very "under the radar" beer if you ask me. Cheap considering ABV too!

You quoted the word regular but the OP does not specify that at all. Also not the only one that mentioned Resin and Hi-Res... and I'm sure they wouldn't disappoint. Cheers!

Easy to get here... Ft. George - Vortex IPA
In Montana Lewis and Clark - Tumbleweed IPA is pretty good as I remember.
Heady is the best I've ever had the privilege to enjoy.

Well, the OP said "IPA" not "Regular IPA"....and you kept jumping in on every single post where someone mentioned a type of IPA, still an IPA, that you didn't think should be included...the question didn't make such limitations, so you may want to actually work on your own comprehension...and condescension.

Respectfully disagree, it's different but in the same league IMO. Both great DIPAs.

I know someone who claimed Carton 007XX was extremely close to Heady Topper. Maybe in color, style, and IBU range, but Heady Topper is full of those dank marijuana notes with just enough peachy esters from Conan to make it a really complex and easy drinking IIPA without any harsh bitterness. It is dry and the Pearl malt base doesn't get in the way of the hops.

Carton 007XX on the other hand has zero marijuana character. It is quite citrusy and full of bitter grapefruit first and foremost; not necessarily full of stone fruits. There are some supporting fruity notes, but they are more subtle and tropical. There is also a very different malt bill. I favor Heady's since it doesn't get in the way of the hops. Carton's grist is a bit too malty for my liking. It also relies on a heavier bittering addition that doesn't quite smooth out completely. There is a quick shot of harsh bitterness with Carton. It isn't quite as rounded as Heady.

I would agree 100%. Heady is amazing and there's no taking that away. But, if I'm in a situation where I can't have Heady but can have 077XX I don't find that the least bit disappointing! Both are fantastic in their own way in my opinion. I put them in the same league but Heady is the champion.
