Not sure if I'm eligible. I think I joined right after you posted this originally, so if you don't count me, I certainly understand. Here's my guesses.

    1) 16
    2) 63
    3) 23

    Thanks for the chance.

Yep. That's absolutely how I get a decent bit of my beer that's in NC distro.

I definitely share with my beer store owner and a couple of the employees (since most of the employees are also regular customers) and other regular customers. Granted my beer store owner was the Wynkoop Beer Drinker of the Year one year, so its not like he hasn't had a lot of beer (he has a walk-in cooler in his house, though I've met a handful of people with those now). But he does at least appreciate out-of-distro new stuff that he hasn't tried before  All in a day's work as a beer advocate, right?

Part of my issue is that there really aren't any small places near me that carry anything good; so while I am friendly with most of the staff at the HUGE bottle shop I prefer, I'm sure there are plenty of other guys with the same relationship, so they can't/won't really "save" stuff for me. So it's pretty much a matter of stopping in regularly and chatting them up, finding out when beer "x" is coming in, and showing up at the right time - on more than one occasion I've been the first customer.

For most stuff that isn't as well known or in as high demands as KBS or BCBS, for example, they typically have it behind the counter, and it doesn't sell out immediately if they get a decent quantity; part of that is cost (I stupidly paid $20 for a bottle of Tweak, then found it somewhere else for $15).

Thanks Fellas. Once we get out of this hospital and I get some things lined back out to as normal as possible, I will return the favors.

I heard that was part of the deal last year but the store owners here still say we are bottom of the barrel for FW distribution. XVIII came and went in a few days so I'm not hopeful for Sucaba/Parabola/Helldorado etc.

Goes within 2 hours here. But, lots of folks in this thread can get it much more readily. Someone in the swtfyw want thread wad asking if anyone wanted a case, I'll ask if a couple people here want to split it...

If this many states are at the bottom of the distribution chain for FW, maybe they should reduce their distribution? We only get 3 month old Double Jack here anyway.

A box landed in Texas this afternoon. It doesn't identify me as the sender, but it includes locals from a number of locales.

pRon alert -- these are the proceeds from @NJB145 's LIF...

Short's Huma Hupa Licious-- I've had other Short's stuff before, but not this one -- it's an IPA (and I'm running low!)
Greenbush Brother Benjamin - I've had Greenbush once before, looking forward to this DIPA
Greenbush Distorter- it doesn't know if it's a Porter or a Stout (really, it doesn't) -- I'm looking forward to figuring it out
Oddside Mayan Mocha Stout-- my first Oddside! - I'm psyched to try this
Arcadia Hopmouth Double IPA- I've never had any of their stuff (although I have one in my fridge) -- yay for new stuff!
Bell's Hopslam- the only one I've had before, & I'm sure not complaining. This one may not make it until tomorrow...

Thanks a ton @NJB145 for all the Michigaliciousness!!!

We definitely get old FW stuff in general, although sometimes I get lucky and find fresher -- it's absolutely a problem at FW's end, not the distributor or the store, since I've checked plenty of places. Why a company that makes a big deal about drinking stuff within 4 months doesn't get it on the shelves out here until it's 3 months old confuses the heck out of me.

That being said, I'm gonna call around tomorrow about Sucaba or Parabola, enough stores sell a lot of FW shelf beers that I would think they get some of this (assuming the distro methodology is similar to how Founders gives out KBS, or how Goose Island does BCBS).

Do not worry about it at all -- I was due to run more than one LIF anyway, I just sent extra as part of this one instead and "credited it to your account" -- you have more important stuff to focus on. I hope things are going reasonably well...

A couple things: I'm a huge lover of iipas/ipas so most of my trades I immediately consume, because of this my cellar is very meager compared to most here. I make up for this by being as generous as possible w local releases and so on,I've also been known to make trades completely for other great people here. I do my best.

Anyway, new challenge! First person to predict who will score the first TD in the SB wins eight cans of Abrasive and two bcbs! Cheers.
