Let me know if you want a Captain Lawrence Golden Delicious -- I think I have sent about 4 of them, actually haven't tried it myself yet... (that's Apple Brandy Barrel, I believe)

bubble wrap, towels, small domestic pets... anything that will keep them from clanking together (which probalby isn't a big deal except the noise will drive you nuts). And bring a glass!

Thanks for the offer but I'm not a big fan of Triples and Quads.

The noise shouldn't be too bad as the boxes containing beer will be in the trunk most likely. But I'll probably go with bubble wrap, just not to the "shipping halfway across the country with fedex" level

Only because I can't decide which defensive player to choose.... Jonas Gray

A very poor radio host in NY was talking earlier this evening about "Bill Belicheat and Shady Brady"... I lol'd the first time, but the seventh or eight I changed the station.

Me neither, which is why I haven't tried it yet. But I think a few folks here mentioned it didn't taste like a Tripel.

So I have to post this, even though I 'm not a big VBS guy. This is one of my favorite beers, and I drank it in my favorite glass, and this year tastes SO much better than last year. I think this is my 5th "5" ever on untappd.. thanks again @NJB145! (I also sucked this down in about 10 minutes, which is very atypical for me)

I think I've been pretty active in the 12 days thread, finishing a distant third in posts. Although who can keep up with @LehighAce06
Although, there are certainly no hard feelings if I'm not eligible. I'm new here, I'm in the process of paying my dues.

Edit: I normally just wrap the beers in the truck in an old towel or a tight reusable grocery bag to prevent clinking

No that was the same trip.

I'll probably be in your area 2/7-8

How well do crowlers keep beer fresh compared to growlers? I was under the assumption that it was similar (aka drink it very fresh). Is that incorrect?

I've kept growlers(well sealed and refrigerated) for months with little to no appreciable loss of quality. Obviously the hop loss of an IPA would not be prevented.

The way I understand it, a crowler will not leak off carb or allow in light, so theoretically it should last longer than a growler.

I know someone that drank a crowler 4 months old, and thought it was DELICIOUS.

I cant wait to have this, my bottle shop guy, who is also my good friend says he should be getting some here sometime this week, and I've been hearing good thing.

Side note, my friend also told me he is opening a craft bar in town that will have about 35 taps, easily doubling the next highest amount of taps in the area! Probably still a half a year at least before it opens, but I am pumped! It will also be about 2 blocks away from where I live, which is very bad news

So glad to hear this! I was pretty disappointed last year. The year before was sooo good, I decided to buy 2 cases last year. I probably gave a case away, and that was before I started trading. Still have 2 in the fridge, gonna attempt a vert, and I'm not a barely wine fan.

I'm assuming the crowlers I sent you? I've kept them as long as three weeks and they were perfect. Could probably go longer though.

Yup, those are the two. Perfect for sharing in the room. Neither of them are particularly set aside for the share I'm hosting, but are "if enough people are in the room and want to crack one of them, let's do it"
