Is that a good or bad thing? :grimacing:

This is how I packaged/labeled a Belgian Tripel I did for my wife's 30th. I did something similar with a Old Ale in waxed bombers, sans the wrap.

I am hoping it is a good thing. That may be the coolest beer label I have seen yet, homebrew or otherwise. Nice work!!!

    It scared me.
But I agree that is one cool label and finished product.

That sounds like a pretty tasty wine.

Ok, these are beyond badass. How do you make something like this? Are you using Photoshop or some sort of image editing software specifically for beer labels? What kind of printer are you using? I'm assuming there's some sort of special label adhesive paper to print these on? TELL ME ALL OF YOUR SECRETS.

    My guess is Illustrator.

Also Shane, does the UPC scan, i.e. what comes up on RedScan or Amazon if you scan it?

That is all sorts of awesome.

I'm lame. I use a dot sticker on the cap with a batch number.

My girlfriend is an advertising consultant, I should let her go crazy with naming and labeling my brew.

    I use these:

They peel off really easy in water, for ease of re-use...

I have made a few successful labels over the years. Mostly just label a cap or sticky note. Here is a couple of more recent labels:

Any thoughts on these? I cooked them up in Word...yeah, not much of a designer here. Just brewed Denny C's BVIP, and it's fermenting away nicely. I'll rack to vanilla beans, oak spirals, and bourbon in a couple of weeks and leave it in secondary for a few weeks before bottling. I plan to age it until Christmas, use labels, maybe wax bottles, and give it out as gifts.

Those would look great printed on a subdued earthtone 'parchment' style paper. (Gluestick works great for adhesion.)

I was thinking the same thing, a cream or light tan paper...maybe some of that textured paper that Maine Brewing Co. uses.
