Last year was the first time I tried it -- got it on tap the day of release and then maxed out on bottle limits at two different places -- I liked it a lot, but admit that part of it could have been getting caught up in the hype and excitement. The one I drank tonight was ridiculously good.

A 12 shipper is still a good bet for transport from location to location, and a cooler bag from the final chilling place to the table. Also, I drive with my beer in the front seat, like a boss.

It is an apple brandy barrel, and while you didn't "ship" it you can add the one I had to your tally of folks you've introduced to it, very damn tasty.

Golden Delicious doesn't taste like a tripel really, it tastes like an apple brandy barrel aged beer, maybe a little Belgian character but not much more than a Belgian blonde, was my impression. I do like tripels and felt it lacked that component (though was a damn good beer anyway)

Also, what's this about apple brandy noir? Definitely ISO for, you guessed it, my horizontal. Anyone with access please BM me to do details, assuming this is obtainable. No funny business @Clarkson, I still owe you a box and if you try to ninja to me it will just get heavier. In case this needs to be said, take care of @Tee2Grn first.

Just making sure, I made that mistake myself not long ago when talking about it, but I at least wasn't offering it to others at the time; I wouldn't want you to have 12 names attached to bottles and only receive 6. And really, no need at all to send anything more. I haven't even had a chance to check yet which red fruit abduction I have!
