Carton Regular Coffee

Yup. Stopped by and grabbed some today. Had the first can and it was as delicious as last year. Good stuff! Love that they're canning different things every few months.

 

The last time they said something to the effect of "we have enough to last a while" was the shipwreck porter growlers back on Columbus Day.

They still got em!

Also went down yesterday and picked up 2 four packs. Really solid beer once again... coffee comes out so nicely as it warms.

 

Canal's in West Deptford had sold out of their 5 cases before my lunch break.

Augie, you really need to get more beer into South Jersey.

 

Any word on Canals in Mt Ephraim?

 

They had some as of maybe 2 hours ago. 1 4 pack per person, but they only got 2 or 3 cases.

Interesting, as many hours later I too pulled the last 4-pack off the shelf.

That Canals has a thing with hiding Carton beers, I don't know how I feel about it...

 

I don't mind it as long as if I ask they don't lie about having it, which I've never had a problem with at Canals. Since Augie has a thing for keeping his beers out in the open and not in the back (+ they have to be refrigerated), I figure Canals has 2 choices:

1. Put 1 4 pk at a time on the shelf in the cooler to enforce a limit per customer. I also like that this can cut down on mulling.
2. Hire a security guard to watch the cooler and make sure no one comes through and buys their entire stock.

It seems like their stock lasted a lot longer than other stores so seems like their policy is working and hopefully getting it into as many hands as possible.

 

Yeah true. Bottom line, I got a 4 pack of Regular, I got a 4 pack of Epitome when it came out, and there's usually either a fresh Boat or O-Dub when I roll in. So I'm a happy customer. We're moving out of the area in a few months but luckily our closest store will be the West Depford Canals so I'll still be able to get my Carton fix

 

I am going tonight. Anyone else making the trip up?

I'm glad you agree, I think those guys do a pretty good job keeping Carton on the shelves. Any chance there will be a second round of Regular Coffee hitting distribution?
