BCBS + Variants in NYC Wednesday Night

    Anyone know anything about this madness of picking up beers on the corner of streets in Manhattan and Brooklyn Wednesday night? I will be in the city but I don't know what to expect when I get there. If this is news to anyone, see here http://www.gooseisland.com/showEvents.html

    And just to clarify from the other thread:

    One Mile House is definitely tapping on Wednesday evening, and looks to be a complete shit show.
    Dive Bar appears to be tapping on Wednesday evening, but has done absolutely zero publicity whatsoever.
    Owl Farm is not tapping anything other than regular BCS, which they aren't tapping until midnight.

    And of course, Top Hops will be a 9 am madhouse.

    6:00 they're tapping '14 BCBS, BCBBW, BCBCS, and Vanilla Rye plus '13 BCBS.

    Did anything happen to the beer with 2 months of age on it? I'm gonna hold onto my bottles for at least 2 years. I thought it was unbelievably delicious on tap, but I think the vanilla needs a chance to blend better.

    I'm here right now and Vanilla rye is still available.

    This is the third place I've had it -- can anyone else who tried it here tell me if their keg is a little off or if it's just me? The vanilla is decidely subdued. Wondering if anyone else thought so.

    I went last night and it was relatively empty. No surprise that Vanilla is still kicking. To answer the question above me, I did not think it tasted different than the 3 other times I've had it on tap, no.

    I don't think 2 months is going to do much to a beer like this. It tasted exactly the same. I had the '10 with 2 years on it and the vanilla definitely faded a little. I would try one of your bottles at 1 year and decide what to do with the second.

    I thought the Coffee tasted a little different but not the Vanilla
