So, I saw the SD tittie bar thread and although I'd love to join in on the festivities, I will be there with my wife and thus my focus is different.
So, I will be coming in for the ACC meeting in March and am looking for some pubs that have excellent local heavy tap lists. We will be staying at the Westin Gaslamp. I have heard 50/50 burgers are a must hit, but what else?
Thanks for any tips. Never been to SD before and am looking forward to it.
    Pat

I thought about checking an empty wine shipper. I usually do when I go to SF.

You aren't all that douchey for being a Marquette Warriors/Golden Eagles/Gold/Golden Eagles fan.

Neighborhood on 7th and G has awesome food and an awesome tap list. If you want to show your wife how hip you are, get reservations to Noble Experiment. It's a "hidden" speakeasy within the neighborhood that makes killer cocktails. You have to text them one week in advance as early as 1200am to get reservations though.

Can't decide if I should say thanks or sorry? It is golden eagles to me, got there the year they changed from Warriors, or the year after..I can't ever remember. I was also that guy that gave away my student section tickets to alums when I bailed for the holidays.

I'm a Marquette guy through and through, but they aren't all that great these days. They will be, with the great new coach and all, just need a little time.
As for the case of NG's, I could probably work that out:wink:.
Thanks for all the tips. Actually, Noble Experiment is on my list but didn't know the details on how to get in. We will definitely try. We won't have a car, but are comfortable with cabs/public transit as long as it isn't too ghetto of an area.

There is no ghetto in San Diego, and you won't be passing through many shady spots on a beer crawl.

Excellent. First place I think I've been to with no shady spots..

I didn't say *no* shady spots; please reread what I wrote. [grin]

Ha! Slaters 50/50 was another place a buddy recommended. You all agree?

It has a nice draft list, kid friendly, decent burgers. Worth a stop plus it is right next to Stone Liberty Station.

I agree with Reaper. Stone's food rubs a lot of people the wrong way, and Slaters 50/50 would be a better dining option for them. They do have a big tap list, but you have to wonder how fresh a lot of it is - *too* big IMHO.
