What time will people be lining up for the release on Sunday? 650 bottles means 216 will be able to purchase. How crazy do these things get?

I have never been, but people said if you make it before 10, you will get some. But people will be in line as early as 5/6 am.

For this one you'll probably be safe if you get there around 11. 2 weeks ago for the Emptiness release the difference in the line between 10 and 11 was only approx 20 people. Since this is the 5th iteration of HandFarm I don't think it will be as crowded as some of the more high profile releases (Para, Emptiness). I'd say if you get there at 11 you'll be safe but I've been wrong before.

Yup, I was shocked to see the line not being past the side of the Post Office when I showed up at 11.45am for the Out of the Emptiness b2 (last release). People got back in line and got more bottles. HandFarm 5th batch? I'm expecting even less people showing up, but dat solera method for this doe...that will got some people curious I'm sure though I doubt most people will notice the difference.

As much as love me some Tired Hands, their bottle releases are where I draw the line. I'll stick to growler fills.

But yeah, if you're there before 9:30-10:00 you should be good.

I still go to a majority of them, but I cannot wait until the Believers Club bottle reservation perk kicks in!

I really should have taken a harder look at getting in on that. What'd it run you?

$500 up front for Tier 1. With that purchase you receive: a $500 gift card, teku, a tote bag, t-shirt, 10% off all purchases with the gift card, and reservation rights to 1 allocation of each bottle release for 1 year (which begins when the new brewery opens). And the gift card is good for 3 years, FYI.

So in all reality, I bought a $500 gift card to Tired Hands and got some badass perks for doing so.

Yeah that's definitely a no brainer if you're there enough.

Last summer's HandFarm release, I drove by around 11:15, saw that the line was back to the post office but very, very sparse. Decided to try it after taking care of some business. Showed up at 12:45 PM, walked up to the line, which was about 10 deep, made up of guys that had already been through it once. Got my allocation and could have gone back around for more bottles, which I would have done if I'd brought something to carry 6 bottles in.

HandFarm is the least rare bottle by far, and hence the releases are not nearly as well attended. I'd wager that if you show up by noon, you'll get some for sure, particularly if the weather is bad. I may take a shot, but I kind of hate bottle releases because the tap lines get jacked up from constant fillings, and the growler fills are always way undercarbed, and growler fills are every bit as worth going for as HandFarm. Or any other bottle.

Jean has definitely outgrown the current space for bottle release (a good problem to have). Cannot wait until the new brewery is up and running. More space for the bottle releases, and I assume a majority of the patrons will move over to the current brewpub location so it will be a bit more dispersed.

They should really run bottle releases during the weekday like how SARA does it. Why create a line when it's unnecessary? The beer is gonna sell out eventually regardless of whether or not it's on a weekend.

I'm guessing the extra infusion of cash from the many bottle line people who also stay to drink and/or fill growlers, who otherwise wouldn't be showing up to Tired Hands on Sunday, is why.

Last weekday bottle release was sold out before I got out of work.

They've done that before. It sold out instantly. Day before Thanksgiving in 2013.

    Point well taken.

Many people have the day before Thanksgiving off so that isn't surprising.

Last week day release was the porter... maybe mid-september?

Sold out instantly because of an insane 6 bottle limit, which resulted in many people, such as me, not getting any despite standing out in the rain on a 35 degree day for 2 hours to try and get some. This was the first batch of Out of the Emptiness. They announced it last minute and were probably not expecting the turnout they got.

I showed up on Sunday around 1:15 and they were sold out, so this batch seems to have gotten more interest than the one last summer. Probably due to the fact that so many people are at the shore on summer weekends.

Or just due to the fact that craft beer/Tired Hands popularity increasing.

I was at that release, their first Emptiness release ever, Out of the Emptiness. I don't know about your work, but I don't think many people get day before TG off. A LOT of people missed out because they had to travel for Thanksgiving and I took off work early that day. The limit was 6/pp and Jean didn't change the limit even after some pleas by people in line saying people will get shut out (assuming everyone maxed out). I showed up at 3.15pm, got my full allocation, but many people did get shut out.
