Welcome! I live in York and work in Hershey, so we pretty much cross paths haha

A good buddy of mine lives in Middletown so I'm up there every so often

Similarly, count me out of the LIF since I'm so local, liked your post for the content also

Welcome! I'm also out for the LIF as I'm close enough to Pizza Boy to drive there (which I do every couple months).

With all the people who have joined the thread, the next round may be enormous - like 50+ participants. I know it's probably a few weeks off, but that may be quite the extravaganza.

So Mike's, "not a thank you box," arrived... I had very low expectations, hoping for maybe 4-5 bottles of local shelf beers at most, but I came home and my newly repaired porch is ruined all over again!!

I'm glad you and I had the side bar conversations as you opened all the beers I sent you for xmas BIF because clearly you listened to the feedback on beer styles I enjoy. My basic sentiment is I love stouts (particularly coffee/vanilla), sours, and IPA/DIPAs.

Also, you managed to hit 3 big time wants of not just the specific beers, but their breweries that I've never had the chance to try anything from as well.

Anyways, without further ado, I give you PR0N! (Those who know me from the xmas BIF may remember that my iPhone camera randomly crapped out midway through the 12 days. This causes my picture quality to be less than stellar)

    From left to right:
Founders Backwoods Bastard - believe it or not, never had this one. Look forward to trying it
Ballast Point Victory at Sea - had a growler of it and LOVED it, but never had a bottle.
Captain Lawrence Frost Monster - sounds outstanding and I'm a cpt lawrence rookie
Captain Lawrence Captain's Reserve Imperial IPA - the bros on BA only rated this a 100 out of 100... probably gonna be a drain pour!
Maine Beer Company Lunch - wow... big time want. not just the beer, but I've been dying to try any IPA from MBC! really looking forward to this
Hillstead Farms Arthur - WOW. major want! never had the beer or anything from this brewery. can't wait to crack into it
Plan Bee Farm Brewery - the third beer that was a big want and I've never had anything from this brewery.
Keegan Ales Joe Mama's Milk Stout - never had anything from this brewery either, but never heard of it. a coffee milk stout is perfect for me; I already know I like it
Keegan Mother's Milk - regular version milk stout. mmmmmmmm
Lake Placid Big Slide IPA - never had anything Lake Placid  always excited to try a new brewery
Lake Placid Bean to Coffee Stout - did I mention I love coffee stouts? hell yeah!
Lake Placid - not very familiar with this style, english strong ale. this one does sound nice though and extra points for having a dog on the label. I love dogs and preview of the LIF I'm going to run at the end of February, cutest pet/dog competition- judged by my girlfriend.

Major thanks to you @Mikexw. You didn't have to send a "not a" thank you box, but you did and crushed it. I am sending another little box at the end of February with GA beers that are being canned/bottled for the first time. That is also going to be the theme behind my LIF box. It will definitely include Orpheus Transmigration of Souls, Creature Comforts Tropicali, Burn Hickory Brewing has 3 brand new bottles that just hit shelves, and hopefully Red Brick BA Imperial Stout which I believe is being bottled soon. These beers are all incredible and are honestly probably the best beers made by GA breweries so I'm really looking forward to sharing!

Anyways, sorry for the long ass post; I tend to do that when I get excited... Thanks again Mike and Locals members for being generous and a great group of ppl!

Yeah, we have certainly ballooned. Does any of our resident statisticians have a total # in the group, # active and # new?

    And welcome @JNForsyth !

Quick VBS for the first beer to go down from @Mikexw 's NATY box.

Joe Mama's milk stout. 4 stars out of 5. Check UNTAPD for my review - UTvols05. Really liking how smooth this is and how the coffee is not bitter, but blends in great. Cheers Locals and sorry for crappy pic quality.

How difficult/easy was it for you to get your user name changed? I have been wanting to change mine for some time but just haven't gotten around to it or know how to contact about it.

While we're on the subject of @Mikexw

He busted up my porch today as well....

So, without further ado - the pron.

Westbrook Gose - took a lot of willpower not to just dome this beer right now
Hill Farmstead Arthur - wow, awesome
Ballast Point Victory at Sea - I have looked at this brew probably 30 times on the shelves in Toledo and never pulled the trigger, don't know why because it's right in my flavor wheelhouse
Jack's Abby Mass Rising - new one for me, had all the Framinghammers but none of the hoppy stuff so this beer has subsequently been poured into my glass since this picture - and it is killer good.
Jack's Abby Hoponious Union - probably tomorrow night's opening act, if it's half as good as Mass Rising I'm in for a treat
Prairie Christmas Bomb - love Bomb and variants, can't wait!
Prairie Wine Barrel Noir - I loved this brew, to the dismay of many of they guys I tasted it with - LOL. Glad to have a full bottle
Lake Placid Big Slide IPA- A true local and I'm excited for ALL OF THESE!
Lake Placid Ubu - seems like a Brown Ale, haven't looked it up yet
Lake Placid Bean-To Coffee Stout - yep, sounds good
Firestone Walker Wookey Jack - had one one time but it was really old, this one is quite a bit fresher so looking forward to it
Firestone Walker Double Jack - Yum
Firestone Walker Double DBA - Can't even imagine how good this beer is - can't wait!
Imperial Biscotti Break Decicco - Chiles and Hazelnut?? Yeah, I bet that's not any good....LOL

Killer box Mike - my liver and my porch will need repair after this week!

I don't have a total number, but at the end of the not-the-summer-sixer, once I know all the pairings, I am going to update my master list ... that won't include the bunch of new arrivals since that round started though...

I was thinking about this issue. We might need two people to organize the round and handle signups. Say everyone with a username from the first half of the alphabet communicates with one organizer and the second half the other organizer. Something like that.
