"the first beers you share with your dad are special. What I would give to have one more."

Scheduling a day to have some beers with the old man. He loves Sam Smiths.

    Grandfather was Scotch only

My one grandfathers beer was Michelob. My other grandpas beer was just about anything. But it had to be room temp. He served as an MP and interpreter in WWII in the European theatre. The beer of course was warm or room temp when he was there.

God bless all veterans who have sacrificed for us to enjoy the freedoms we have.

I tried Wiedemann in the late 70's and did not care for it. Got a case for about $6.

My passion for beer may be grounded in the nostalgia of also sitting in my grandpa's lap as he sipped his beer. Every now and then he would sneak me sip letting me try it much to my mother and grandmother's dismay. My grandfather liked Budweiser as during the 1980s there wasn't much else. Being a Hungarian though he occasionally would have a raw egg in his beer-- a custom of the old world and something was only reserved for royalty. Even today the saying "What else do you want, egg in your beer" denotes someone of a discerning view. It's a good memory and I'm glad others have similar experiences to share. Here's to our grandpas-- cheers!

My grandfather was a wine drinker. Even grew his own grapes in his tiny backyard. Other than his homemade wine, he would always drink Muscatel.

The Grandfather I met never drank, kind of a bummer, but he lived to a week short of 90.
My other Grandfather died at 60, no idea on his beer.

One grandfather loves his tequila (he actually lives IN Tequila, Jalisco), not much of a beer drinker but down in his part of Mexico there's only 2 kinds of beer, corona or pacifico. The other one is also from Mexico but he enjoys his American beers, pretty much any big name American-adjunct lager is his thing.
