    I think that was part of the original premise, but we only did a few that way. It wasn't really as structured (or as complicated) as the original lengthy post made it sound

    Turning this thing around right away, no sense in sitting on the box. Need more pron!!!

    AND, I think you guys can take a wild guess at what brewery may be featured here :rolling_eyes:

    NBO - Horizontalhood Trip #2

    If you would like to be in consideration to be the recipient of a 6-shipper box filled with great stuff, please BM me your shipping address. If you would prefer to skip this trip and sign up for a future trip, don't send me your address and wait for the next person to post their NBO to sign up.

    Signup period ends at midnight Sunday January 25th. At that time I will randomly select the recipient and start posting hints as to who it is. Box will be shipped as soon as I get it ready!

    Trip #1 - Texas (@Clarkson )--> Illinois (@Ncpogs )
    Trip #2 - Illinois (@Ncpogs )--> ???

    See official rules below....

    ----------------------------------------------

    How Horizontalhood works:

    1) Some of my favorite beers have come from a brewery “Sampler” trade where I ask my trading partner to throw in a whole brewery’s lineup. If I didn’t do this, I would have only had Lunch, and not a tiny beautiful something. I might have only had Jai Alai and not Tocobaga. So the purpose of this BIF is to showcase your local brewery’s line up and send something that wouldn’t normally be asked for. Show that your local brewery is not a one trick pony.

    2) The current holder of the Horizontalhood box will make a post in the Locals BIF thread saying that the signup period for the next Trip is open and will be open for 2 or 3 days. Anyone that would like to be a potential target for the box would send their address information in a BM to the current holder of the box. To be eligible the person must have:

    a) participated in Locals BIF rounds 1, 2 (summer 6'er), 3, 4 (Winter 6’er), or any of the new faces that have recently joined us prior to this Trips NBO post
    b) have not already received the Horizontalhood box.

    3) After the signup period is over, the current holder will randomly pick the next lucky recipient of the Horizontalhood box. They will not announce this person nor the number of people that signed up, but instead will start posting hints as to where the box is going (BIF style hints). If no one signs up to be the next recipient then, as the original founder, @@Clarkson will be the final recipient (hopefully without him knowing that it is coming to him).

    4) The holder of the Horizontalhood box will fill the box with high quality local bottles from A SINGLE LOCAL BREWERY ONLY, and ship it to the target. Make it a kickass box, but with this group of people I know we won't have to worry about that. Also, add the targets name to the tracking board in the box and add any 'decorations' that you wish to help commemorate the box's visit to your state. You may add one piece of swag in place of one beer, but it has to come from the brewery that is in the box.

    5) Once the box is received by the target, they will post the pr0n for all to enjoy.

    6) Start over at #1

    You do not have to enter every signup period. You can pick and choose when you want to be in consideration to be the next recipient. This would be nice if the current holder of the box is from your own state or an adjoining state or if you.

    Cheers!

    So I started trying to update things yesterday... as of right now, I've got 53 people listed on my "roster" tab -- that includes anyone who participated in any of the first four rounds of the locals, plus another 7 folks (I think) who were in the 12 days of xmas BIF and have joined us fairly recently; it also includes 2 guys who expressed interest in joining prior to the round I headed up but who never did and 2 guys who have participated in the past but are no longer welcome; I will remove those 4, which will get us down to 49. THEN I am guessing we have between 5 and 10 new folks who I have to add.

    I'm also updating the file with senders and receivers, I added in the 12 days of xmas folks (since I think 24 of us participated in that one) and will update for the winter sixer once I know all the pairings (I will update my file again over the weekend and chase down the missing info). Right now I think I am missing senders for @HoppySeb , @Clarkson , @billhelm , @Ncpogs , @Tee2Grn , @treznor , and @devilfluff -- if any of you have already received your boxes and/or posted pRon, please let me know?

    the problem in the sports BIF world, is no one ever sends anywhere near the minimum. You are more realistically looking at 2000 oz of beer.

    Besides the fact that it would take me way too long to drink it, I could only do that if either a) I was single or b) I wanted to be single..

    Amen, I hit a smaller version last year, and I'm pretty sure I still have some beer left over from it.

    I already have 150-200 bottles crammed into a space meant for maybe 50 bottles. Another 50 bottles showing up would actually be a pretty big problem for me :slight_smile: I keep telling friends that I'm going to have a party soon where if anyone brings there own beer I'm going to kick them out of the house. They think I'm joking...

    It does sounds fun though. Winning multiple times would be... disastrous?
