CBS Kegs in Florida?

Kush tapped it last night.

It seems very underhyped, but Das Biergarten in Jupiter is tapping a keg of it tonight, along with a keg of 2013 BA wake n bake.

I live 10 mins away and just happened to find out. One of my clients came in wearing an oskar blues hat the other night so I started talking to him, and it turns out he's part owner of das biergarten and they are having their 2 year anniversary party tonight. CBS taps at 8. I can't get there until 830 so if any of you happen to go based on this tip, please save me a glass!

@TheSamKuehn I know you live in the area and I'm pretty sure I see you on untappd a lot, figured you might want to go if you didn't know about it!

I will be at Das tonight for some CBS and am stopping by Brewhouse Gallery on the way back for the goodies they have. (or perhaps the other way around depending on tapping times) Cheers!

If i remember correctly, BA WnB taps at 7, CBS taps at 8. Going to do my best to close up shop here right at 8 so I can be at das by 815 or so and hopefully still get one of each

 

Das Biergarten 2 year anniversary was a success. Got there at 8:30 and was able to get a pour of CBS for myself and my girlfriend, as well as barrel aged wake n bake, which was super delicious. I think the CBS finally kicked around 9:30.

There were easily over 100 people there and it lasted that long. Ran into two of my girlfriend's friends and they were drinking wine. I probably could have scored half a dozen pours of CBS if I wanted to, kind of funny.

 

Any other CBS tappings that are on the schedule?

One day tickets weren't on sale. Next day, sold out. Sucks. Not sure how I missed it.

 

CCB Announced when the tickets for the general public were going on sale through pretty much every outlet they use (Facebook, Twitter, Their Website) to announce everything else. They also sent out a several other tweets and FB posts as reminders. I don't know what else you would want them to do?

 

I guess I missed it. I checked their website regularly, and never saw a date. Emailed them and didn't get a response. Don't really use social media outlets. It's fine. I wasn't accusing them of anything - just said I missed it. It is weird they don't announce a date more than a few days in advance.

Had CBS yesterday at the Ale and the Witch. It's very good but I don't think it lives up to the hype and it's definitely not a top ten beer. Or, at least not this batch. Wouldn't be surprised though if this most recent batch is inferior to the original...look at the dramatic difference between last year's KBS and the previous years. KBS 2013 was amazing, 2014's version was thin and unimpressive (both bottle and draft)

I thought CBS was a bit lacking in mouthfeel. It just felt a bit thin. I liked Jackie O's Bourbon Barrel Black Maple more. And Lawson's Fayston Maple Imperial Stout might be the best maple stout

 

Gnarly Barley in Orlando did have it on for their 3-year anniversary party a couple weeks ago, it went pretty fast but glad I got to try it. I thought it was very good and I enjoyed it much more than KBS which I think is very overrated and over hyped.

 

Word on the street is that The House of Brews Jensen Beach has a keg of it. No tap event announced yet, though.
