A Deal with the Devil

as far as i can tell, our shelton overlords have not graced WA with this beer yet.

 

Well it's been over a week since Shelton Sea posted the pic of their cases.

 

it landed today at chucks 85th.

it landed at bottleworks as well. i'll either stop by chucks CD or bottleworks by the end of today and report back...

 

Bottleworks had like 4 cases. ~32$.

 

Just 1. Got a Darkest Hour, too. $53 bill.

 

I used the $50 BW gift certificate she got me for Christmas.

 

$31.59 at chucks CD. They also have bale breaker kiln 003 on draft which is delicious palate wrecker.

 

glad it hit finally. We drank a few bottles already, might get some more. Love this beer. Had it after moas '14, and that after '14 and '15 sucaba. '15 sucked, but the '14 is on fire. Still the moas was better, but the devil blew them all away. Need to pair some more BA BW with devil, but I think it's probably my fav BW.

 

They also have Lost Abbey Angel's Share on draft. It'll be a nice way to start the afternoon tomorrow.

 

nice! what about arctic devil? i feel like every now and then i crack a bottle of that and find it's on-par, if not better than sucaba. i just had a 2014 and agree, it's drinking great.

i have no clue how i overlooked that. guess i'll have to go back tomorrow.

Yeah I love AD. Not sure if I've seen the new batch yet but I have one 2013 left and they are drinking great now. Sucaba is great but I think there is more going on in AD.

 

'15 Sucaba sucked? Say more. Too hot? Just picked up two bottles. Sit on 'em for a bit?

 

nah, it was super mellow. Like something went wrong with the batch. at least the two bottles I had.

 

It was the same on tap. I kept looking in my glass like maybe they diluted it or something. Was my favorite beer of 2014...don't know what happened this year.
