$8.99 for an anniversary bomber from a respected brewery like Westbrook? You folks down south don't realize how good you have it. Hell, when Surly, Indeed, or the other breweries in MN release specialty beers we're lucky if we can touch them for under $20 a bottle...Nothing from Westbrook should sit on a shelf, especially for $8.99, enjoy while you can :stuck_out_tongue:!!!

Hmm I didn't even get a hint of vanilla in the 3 bottles I had.

I have to say this beer is great. A little heat, some nutty almond hints, but no coconut is my only knock. The thing I always like about Westbrook's stouts are the mouthfeel. A lot of stouts are light, Westbrook's are usually very heavy, which is what I like in a stout.

I definitely got some booziness. Great almond and vanilla flavor. I agree with most about he coconut being very subtle. I realllly liked this one overall though.

Wow! I got monster booze. In fact that was my quandary...too hot for drinking now, but flavors that won't necessarily stand up to aging.

I thought the same thing. But since they suggested drinking asap I decided to crack it open. Wish I had another to cellar

It's sort of the ultimate bottle share beer...3-4 oz. is a flavor explosion, a pint would be a bit of a chore.

EDIT: Which, come to think of it, is true of so many special release beers these days.

My personal opinion is you can't fully appreciate a beer with only 3-4 oz. 6oz minimum, and 8-10oz is ideal.

Also, I found no chore at all in drinking the entire bomber, although I could see how it could be a bit much to some people. What I can't see if how it is being described as hot. I got no heat at all from the multiple bottles I have drank.

Good beer, absolutely no coconut in the bottle I tried, but I just may have been spoiled by FB Last Snow.

wouldn't surprise me, Last Snow is has more coconut in it than any other 3 coconut beers combined, Prop '13 included

It was definitely a little hot. I drank the bomber my myself and savored the flavor. Definitely some bite in it. It wasnt a bad thing though or overwhelming. It was a really good beer.

Yeah had Prop '13 at Huna day last year and don't remember it having that much coconut, but my palate was probably pretty fried at that point.

I know this isn't the section but I'm looking for one bottle if anybody has a spare sitting around or stores have one on the shelf.
