So, hi, my name's Skai, just been really getting into beer lately like in the past month or two, and I'm learning a lot. But I was at a liquor store close-ish to me (well, it's the only one with a decent selection), and I was making my first mix and match sixer (that was a lot of fun), but on my way up to the counter I saw Arctic Panzer Wolf, Brian Boru, a Yeti, Dreadnaught, Dogfish Head World Wide Stout, and a few other 22oz brews that I wanted to try at some point.
So, I checked their price and they were ranging from $10-$20 per bottle. Now, I know that there are brews out there that people will pay a pretty penny for, but I wasn't expecting these to be priced like that.

Is this what I should expect? or is my store being a little bit pricey?
Not that I have a whole lot of choice where I live (bumfuck IN).

*Also, again, just wanted to say 'hello' as well! Been coming to this site religiously since I started drinking beer seriously. haha I've learned a lot from BA.

It's typical. And it gets worse.

Take the ticket, ride the ride.

Depending on what each one is, that sounds about right. WWS is $10, Dreadnaught should be around $10 too I believe.

I don't know what I was expecting them to be priced at, but not that much. Just a little surprising, but I don't have a problem with it. haha
    Thanks for the quick replies!

I dont see anything in your listing that should be near $20 though. Of the ones you listed, I think the most Ive ever paid for any of them is $11.99 for Dreadnaught. Just picked up Brian Boru the other day for 8.99 - it's aroma is fantastic!

Ya, I can't remember specifically what was priced around the $15-20 range, but I know I saw it. haha I'll be sure to write it down next time I'm there.
I was actually planning to pick up Brian Boru the next time I'm there, and I think that actually was 8.99, I do remember that. Wont be getting a sixpack that day, I'm so poor. hahah

    Very true!
And more Brian Boru praise! I think it's settled on my next purchase then.

Buy sixpacks when you can. Three Floyds bombers will bankrupt you quickly.

You're definitely right about that. I'd hate to miss out on Brian Boru though.

I agree with the guy who said "it gets worse".. I cringe whenever I fork over about 20 dollars for these 12.7 ounce bottles..deliverance and older viscosity are my recent shameful purchases
