I haven't tried it yet, but it's still getting a lot of high scores on Untappd. Average score right now is 4.43. I'll open one up once I beat this cold I'm dealing with. Hopefully it won't be a letdown.

Beer Junction allows a 4 bottle purchase of the Devil if you want to go crazy at $32 a bottle. They also had Darkest Hour at $17.

I picked up Darkest Hour and was pretty impressed. Despite that, I can't bring myself to drop $32 for A Deal with the Devil.

Wowza! $17 for Darkest Hour? It's $9.99 here. I should also say that it is gone.

that's cool, though shipping to and from Alaska is really high... Maybe that's the reason. I do know that seven dollars isn't that bad, at least it's from Alaska. MOAS has a 7 to 8 dollar mark up and they are rather close.

I was @ Beer Junction earlier today and they had several cases on the floor. I passed, as I'd already snagged the final two bottles @ Bottleworks on Friday night.

Hoping to have a good reason to open one of these next Sunday evening...

Damn, $10 is a good price. How much mark up is usual for Washington/Oregon beers up there? Like how much was the latest Abyss going for?

Thats crazy. Me and a few friends drank almost the exact same things on Saturday. 1 MOAS, 1 DWTD, '13 Sucaba, '15 Sucaba

'15 Sucaba was disappointing, but the '13 didnt blow us away either. We were really confused because this has been one of my favorite beers for a while now. Did our taste buds change out of nowhere??? It just felt really thin and the depth of flavors compared to MOAS or DWTD were non-existent.

I know Stickee Monkee isnt a "barleywine", but that beer compares much more favorably to the others than Sucaba does.

until i have another central coast quad to compare it to, i'm calling it an english barleywine.

Nice! Yeah I had a '13 when the '14 sucaba came out and I was less impressed with it then. Seemed it mellowed out too much. The '14 is drinking really well right now though. Still compared to the others on our list, it was the weakest. I wanted to do a '13 moas as well, but damn what we had was a lot and we started rather late in the evening. I'd love to do a BW share!

Yeah, '14 is drinking really nice - tons of vanilla. A BW share would be a good idea.

    I'll just throw it out there;

Oh, and new beer this week.

Darkest Hour is really really good (i like it way better than 2014 BCBS for example but that wont become a popular impression because of enrshired beliefs... ) but ADWTD is like an order of magnitude better.
Seriously if you like big sweet beers dont hesitate.
    It's ridiculous.

Havent noticed much difference in prices of stuff up here after i moved from Florida, specially being Anchorage is tax free.

Biggest price jump i saw was Fast food prices (No dollar menu up here :/) and milk. seen it as high as $5.96 per gallon of milk.

yeah, but you have the benefit of being in the big city on the road system, which also keeps prices down. for what it's worth, darkest hour was (is) $13-14 in juneau. and still around. and delicious.
