Andy, if you could bring those extra glasses, that would be great. I'm sure they'll be used...one by me in particular

@AndyEdgar, great thoughts! They sound spot on. And yes Gentile's has dump buckets. They have done tastings before, just not a bottle share so they know the drill. They also have a water cooler, but bringing you own bottle wouldn't be a bad idea.

I can also bring a fobab glass. Good call on tasters with the 2oz markings.

Is it too late to add myself as a maybe? I tentatively have plans that night but would love to join if I can make it.

I would be down to join you and provide bring a bottle for a tasting! I thought that's how it usually works. Everyone brings a bigger size bottle. I just moved to Chicago 6 months ago and Im looking to meet other beer enthusiasts.

@Kaz_DemonKnight, yea that's pretty much how it goes. You can read previous posts and see how we are setting this one up. Shoot me a message with your email and I will add you to the Google Spreadsheet where everyone is RSVPing by adding the bottles that they will be bringing.

I'll shoot you an email (got yours from earlier), but definitely count me in for your March tasting (unless it's KBS weekend). Have fun all.

Just had a brief conversation with Flavio. Didn't realize he was into saisons so I'm going to switch one of my bottles up if that's allowed?

@kveton09, you can change your bottle at any time. No one is locking people into what they list. We just want to try and stick to the "white whales/top 250 beers" theme that was established for the inaugural share. I know that isn't possible, but we can always shoot for it!

Well there's definitely a discrepancy between bottles but it is what it is. I switched the Perennial out for a Side Project. Not a "white whale" per say but not an easy one to snag. I can maybe switch out that MBCP out for a more enticing beer as well.

@kveton09, I can agree with that. The theme has loosened up a bit as to not discourage anyone for joining for the first share. But that should not deter anyone from bringing something that they would like to share because of it's rarity or top beer status. I know I will be bringing a few other beers to open up if good times are being had...

No I agree. I wouldn't want to deter anyone either. I'll be bringing a few others as well. Makes it a bit more fun. It's more fun to share good beer with good people. Besides I wouldn't want to drink a solid brew by myself anyway.

I figured there are mostly Chicago folk on this page. I'm curious if anyone has any 4 Hands Madagascar on hand and would maybe like to trade? It's a shelfie down south...brought it to share at the CW17 release last weekend and really enjoyed it. If so, please let me know. Cheers.

I would love to try Madagascar. I struck out in finding it while in STL.

While I somewhat agree, I generally discourage people bringing junkers to a share with a decent list.

I would also encourage people to bring 2 different styles of beer instead of 2 stouts or 2 saisons, etc. Variety is nice.

Yeah I hate to be that guy, but Aaron B (not sure your BA handle b/c you didn't fill in page 2 on Excel) definitely needs to switch it up. 2 Hoppin' Frog barley wines, neither of which are exceptionally rare.

Also Josh M. yes, Dark Lord is rare (though I'm sure most of us have had many iterations) but your second bottle being another FFF stout, could probably be a bit more creative there.

I'm happy to share my stuff with anyone that appreciates it but as soon as this starts to look like people are getting in just to taste some "white whales," I'm out.. Not to say either of you belong in that category.

Sorry for being blunt but it needed to be said

Thanks for saying it. I wasn't sure how to word it, but I agree with you 100%
