I hardly see this beer as a flop. It's not crushable and perfect for a group sharing the bottle, maybe even after a great meal, and the flavor is wonderful. My theory is if barrel aged is on the label, people will scoop up every bottle they see whether they have tasted it or not. When they see a "regular" beer, the buy just a bottle or two and there is a lot less hysteria. Just because this batch didn't sell out in 32 minutes doesn't make it a flop. Dissenter on the other hand...

Absolutely loved this beer, thought it was spot on for the description of flavor and sweetness.

I'm still scared to give this one a go. Waiting for my wife to be in a beer drinking mood so I don't have to commit to an entire bottle.

That's a good plan. I've got 5 bucks that says she'll love it.

She really likes Bell's Cherry Stout, and things on the drier side, so I hope so!

Love the comments about this being too sweet.....it was certainly intended to be a dessert beer for the Holidays and I think they nailed it. Definitely not a flop.

You either like this that much, or hate the cherry stout...

it was ok. didnt love it. mouthfeel was thin and i think overall this would have benefited from being a bigger beer near 10%. which shocks me bc i never say that. i think the raspberry was too overpowering and the beer was pretty unbalanced. that being said my gf loved it.

I loved the sweetness of Big Lushious. I wouldn't want to drink this often but it is a fantastic dessert beer. I shared a bottle of this at a bbq I had a couple weekends ago and everyone loved it. I only sampled about an ounce of it and I wish I had got more. I got two more bottles that I will share with the wife only.
