I'm definitely a 'ticker' myself, but I see no harm in seeking out new pleasures! While I don't completely avoid my favourites, I tend to find myself grabbing beers that I've never had. Gotta bring that review count up

Ticker, here. I've got quite an extensive cellar, but am constantly bringing in new beers that I haven't had yet, because they're either new or new to me.

Probably closest to a ticker out of that list. Of course, I've only been drinking beer since last September and have had less than 30 different beers total at this point so it makes a lot of sense that I would be going out and trying new ones frequently. XD

It was a Wikipedia definition .... Hence the tongue in cheek "all knowing Google" reference.

And again, old dudes who complain about bands selling out is purely and truly "old curmudgeony dude"

A hipster can't wax poetic about the good old days because either wasn't old enough to be there or wasn't into said subject at the time. If you take a boisterous (bragger) person who's had it all (ticker) and has had beers you've never heard of (bragger) you have the holy hipster trifecta.

But you are right, hipsters do like to lie about how awesome they are, so I see how they can be confused with an old douchebag to the inexperienced observer .... Ha.

The majority of people will likely vote 'tickers' because it's the least harmful to others and the least harmful to the craft community at large. Braggers/One-Uppers/Judgers/Hipsters/Counter-Cultures/Braggers all are basically just synonyms for jerkish behavior, and hoarding's level of harmfulness is in the eye of the beholder.

That's why I voted for 'Ticking' as my deadly sin. It's the easiest one to choose without feeling like I should re-examine my behavior or need to say a few Hail Marys and Our Fathers.

Now, if the community had to vote for the deadly sins of their own friends or other BAs, I'm sure we'd find that people's self-perception doesn't match up exactly with the perception that others hold of them.

If I had to pick one of those, Ticker is closest. I'm definitely a 'Beer hunter' rather than a 'Beer nester'. When I go to another city I refuse to order anything that's even available to me at home. But I'm also the same way with music and films.

Culture Counter might describe me out of the more negative ones. Like I'll go out of my way to use the word 'Adjunct' when describing BMC.

The word 'Hipster' implies you're pretending to like something to seem cool, which is different from genuinely liking something and incorrectly thinking it makes you cool. The latter would probably fall more under 'Bragger'.

The only beer sin I know of is wasting good beer. I guess that would fall under Hoarder? I keep hearing about these people (hoarders), but I've never met one.

I tend to board a bunch of my favorite beers, and then I drink them.

Party at my place to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the begin of the zombie apocalypse. I'm certainly a hoarder. Haha But we all have a bit of every type of sin in all of us. Makes life fun and interesting.

If I post pictures of my beer purchases in "Post a Picture of Your Latest Haul," does that make me a bragger?

Ticker - most of the time I set out to try something I haven't had before, but have a go-to's if nothing stands out to me.

I think the way I meant "bragger" was more of the type of person that will use his/her experience with rare beers to belittle others... "Look, I have already had every beer on this menu." "The BA Top 250 needs to be updated, I have everything already."
