Thanks, this group (and SWTFYW too) had a night of toasting my buddy with me. Collectively, we opened just about ever beer that exists with a dog on the label; it was really touching.

Seems like its easier to get in NC. A couple years ago it was very easy to get for a large part of the year (maybe 3-5 months?). Then the distributor in NC got all messed up and stopped bringing their beers in all that much. Epic dropped their NC distributor and just signed new ones (the local one for me is a friend of mine, which always helps  ) in December 2014 so we saw a HUGE load of Epic hit NC. As in, I think my local store (which is in a non-suburb, mid-size town) got 25-30 cases of Big Bad Baptist. Still have PLENTY sitting around at the moment (though we are doing our very best to drink as much of it as we can), so if you want some let me know. No idea if our future access to Epic will be so good, but the expectation is that its about what it was before and Epic (including BBB) was a shelf beer then.

I live in a heavily populated suburb of NYC, stuff near me flies off the shelf. You aren't going to walk into my store and find a whale. Most rare stuff I receive a text message about, and then is saved in the back with my name on it. BBB falls short of requiring a text message.

I know how you feel, my dog Oliver is nearing the end. He's had cancer and just started having seizures so I know what's coming. We also lost our cat a couple months ago that my wife and I bought when we first started dating 14 years ago. Share a pic, I'd love to see another pic of him!

That's sad man. I lost my childhood dog when she was only about 5 or 6 due to an incredibly aggressive cancer that literally took over and ended her life in less than 2 weeks. It was horrible to think how many good years she had ahead of her.

That is one of the coolest things I've heard, what a great way to honor Ralph. Submit his picture, he's so in this LIF!

I'm sorry to hear about yours @Kylo76; cancer is what befell mine as well, he had a cyst that we had removed, but declined to have biopsied; 6 months later it returned, was obviously cancerous, and was back with a vengeance. He lasted about 3 months past that point. He was going on 8 years old when he passed, but for a bulldog that's actually getting up there, their life expectancy is 9, 10 tops as it is. I still have some guilt that we didn't spend the $60 or whatever on a biopsy the first time, when it would've been easy to fix for good, but there wasn't much we could do about it once it came back the second time. I'll find a couple pics of him tonight to post, since both of you are newer to the thread than when that happened.

Oliver is doing good it's not a super aggressive cancer but he's 11 and a Vizsla so that is also getting near the top end of his life span. It will be tough but he has been so good to us anything from here on out is a bonus!

On another frustrating note I have been trying to grab some extra BCBS for a friend who is coming to visit and can't get any through a local FB beer group we have in AZ. I offered up a really nice list of stuff and no joke got some guy who offered me 1 bottle of BCBBW for a Darkness and JK Provenance in addition to the other one BCBS bottle 1:1 for Dark Lord or 1:1 BCBS for Nocturn. Haha sorry for ranting I feel like my head is going to explode.

Yeah I'm looking for a bunch to surprise an old friend who is severely beer deprived and BCBS is his favorite. We're taking a week trip to a cabin and I'm trying to really just dump a pile of BCBS in his lap. He just kind of agreed to go so I only have like 6 left haha.

Don't think I posted this to get a bunch of BCBS from you guys, I was just ready to punch why computer at work and needed to vent.

Jesus, the viper pit venom is strong with that group! I try to avoid crossing over between the groups too much, but since you're looking for an IP deal, maybe @dust_bunny or @UtisTheLaw have some they'd like to trade? I have no idea if either of them have any of what you're looking for, I only know that they're both in your state, so low expectations please.

Yeah I'm friends with Dustin(and he hooks me up so much already) I was avoiding asking friends, and he only deals in Whalez anyways haha. I think @UtisTheLaw is in Tucson as well although I do not know him. I think it is a product of being in this state and we really do not get any rare beer at all ever outside of Vanilla Rye this year. So things like BCBS and FW Sucaba etc tend to be thought of on the level of actual rare(r) beers. So it was not anyone being a dick(i hope) but more of people just thinking that a 12 oz bottle of Bourbon County is comparable to those other bottles. Who knows just not any bottle producing breweries in the area coming out with anything that is tradeable. The closest thing is to drive 5 hours to SoCal which is a bit of a haul more than a few times a year.

Well utisthelaw just moved to Tucson very recently (from Texas, which got a ton of BCBS). Like I said, I have no clue what he brought to AZ with him, but it's worth a shot. He's a SWTFYW member (as is Dustin) which is why I tagged those two specifically, keeping it "in the family" so to speak.

Good thing I've got a box headed your way next week and that while I don't have a TON of BCBS I've got enough to share.
