I have heard of this place but never gone...a buddy of mine asked if my wife and i wanted to try brunch there on Sunday and when i looked at their website i checked out the tap and bottle list and it seemed pretty unreal...anyone ever been? is the taplist usually this impressive? are the prices for the beers reasonable? other thoughts? after seeing the taplist i am now considering heading there on Friday for happy hour...

One of the better happy hours in that area for draft:slight_smile: fantastic food made almost entirely from scratch! Liquor, cider and beer selections are typically awesome. Steve, the GM is a cicerone 2 and used to work at Bottleworks. Does a great job at his draft list!

It's pretty awesome. The happy hour food deals are ridiculous. Beer is still a bit pricey, but I think you are paying for the variety.

They definitely have some hard to find brews there, although you will pay a lot for them.

Burgundian and Sixgill are two of my favorite Seattle spots and they kind of get "overlooked" in comparison to Brouwers, Pine Box, Chucks, etc.

Actually, maybe that's why they're two of my favorite spots ...

Speaking of price-points, the Noble Fir would be my favorite bar in the city but its just too out of control. Same for the Sixgill.

It seems that Burgundian is much more palatable in comparison.

What do you mean by out of control?

Maybe a little more expensive than other places. Not that I go there that often, but I don't recall anything being overly priced.

Noble Fir gets Block 15 more than anyone else up here, so for that alone I love them.

I'm shooting from the hip, but I'm thinking they are priced at least a dollar more per pour of just about everything on the taplist (prices not posted online). I've had some Block 15 pours there - i'm not sure any of them were under say $9

I've completely given up on Noble Fir. The table service is horrendously slow. I've tried it three times on different days and different times and I've come away pissed off each time. I won't return.

I heard it on the internet so it must be true. (I think they tweeted it themselves.)

Burgundian is great, but can someone confirm if they changed chefs in the last 6 months or so? I hadn't eaten there for a while and did so recently and food was not nearly as awesome as it was the first couple years it was open. Still good, but the chicken n' waffles in particular was pretty different.

That said, the Burgundian's Coffee Beer Fest is one of my very favorite beer events of the year.

They all involve a relatively cheap taxi ride home. Which is what really matters
